One of the great things about Google Drive (GD) cloud storage is that it not only stores files but enables you to open (or preview) compatible formats.
However, some Google Drive users have stated that a “Whoops! There was a problem previewing this document” error message appears when they try to open files with the GD viewer.
Google Drive then displays a Download option for the file that doesn’t open. If you’ve encountered the same GD issue, here are a few potential resolutions for it.Google Drive won’t preview document 1. Convert the File to a Compatible Google Drive Viewer Format
First, note that the Google Drive viewer is compatible with a relatively limited number of file formats. As such, it might be the case that you’re trying to open an incompatible file format in Google Drive.
You can, of course, open native Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms and Drawings formats in GD. However, GD doesn’t support that many third-party software file formats.

First, press the Download button on the official website to save CCleaner’s setup wizard.
Open the setup wizard to install CCleaner.
Open CCleaner and select Cleaner on the left of its window.
Select the Internet Cache check box for your browser on the Windows or Applications tab.
Clearing corrupted browser caches can fix loading and formatting issues on sites. So it might also be worth clearing your browser cache when Google Drive doesn’t preview documents.

A team of archaeologists have uncovered a unique ancient Roman winery within the luxurious Villa of the Quintilii. The remains of this opulent villa are just to the south of Rome, Italy. The findings, published on April 17 in the journal Antiquity, detail the winery in the mid-third-century CE building that lies along the ancient Appian Way–a critical supply line for the Roman military.
The large villa was owned by the wealthy Quintilii brothers who served as consuls, one of the most powerful elected positions in the Roman Republic in 151 CE. Around 182 or 183 CE, Roman emperor Commodus had them killed and took possession of their properties, including this particular villa.

Archaeologists had previously documented the villa’s luxuries, including a giant bathing complex, statues, and colored marble tiling. One of the lesser known parts of the villa was a circus for chariot racing that was added during Commodus’ reign. During a 2023 and 2023 expedition to find the circus’ starting gates, the first hints of the hidden winery were discovered.
According to the study, the name Gordian is stamped into a wine-collection vat, which means that emperor Gordian III may have either built the winery or renovated it roughly around CE 238 to 244. The winery is located just beyond Rome’s city limits during antiquity, amidst orchards, farms, monumental tombs, and the villas of the super rich like the Quintilii brothers. It has standard winery features for this time, including two wine presses, a grape trading area, two presses, and a cellar sunk into the ground to store and ferment the wine in large clay jars.
“However, the decoration and arrangement of these features is almost completely unparalleled in the ancient world,” Emlyn Dodd, study co-author and archaeologist and assistant director at the British School at Rome, wrote in The Conversation. “Nearly all the production areas are clad in marble veneer tiling. Even the treading area, normally coated in waterproof cocciopesto plaster, is covered in red breccia marble. This luxurious material, combined with its impracticalities (it is very slippery when wet, unlike plaster), conveys the extreme sense of luxury.”
The facility also included multiple luxurious dining rooms with a view of wine-filled fountains. Within the marble-lined trading areas, enslaved workers would stamp down the harvested grapes. The crushed grapes were then taken to the two mechanical presses, and the resulting grape must was then sent into the three wine fountains. The wine must have gushed out of semicircular niches built into a courtyard wall.

It is likely that this and other villas were built with both wine making and spectacle in mind. Letters from earlier emperor Marcus Aurelius describe him having eaten rich meals while watching wine being made, likely at a luxury winemaking facility at the Villa Magna. This villa, about 30 miles from Villa of the Quintilii, is currently the only known parallel.
With only one dining room currently excavated, Dodd and the team are looking for funding to uncover all of the villa’s lavish rooms.
Drop it like it’s hot
We didn’t do our own drop test at Android Authority, but there is one doing the rounds that shows the Nexus 4 withstanding a 4 feet drop on concrete without much damage. The glass back did fracture when the Nexus was dropped from about 6 feet, although not as severely as I would’ve expected.
On the other side, we have people like Joshua Topolsky from The Verge, who were less lucky. Topolsky reported that he dropped his review unit from the dining table on a hardwood floor, a mishap that resulted in a cracked back plate.
The Nexus 4 got a cold
In one extreme case, Kellex from Droid-Life claims that the glass back of his Nexus 4 cracked when he placed the phone on a room temperature stone countertop. He had the device for just two weeks, and he supposedly treated it with utmost care and never dropped it. Moreover, the same thing happened to the Nexus 4’s cousin, the LG Optimus G.
As you can see in the images below, there is no sign that the two devices were submitted to mechanical shock – usually, when you drop a device, the cracks stem from the point of impact, where they are deeper and denser. In this case, the phones display a single clean fissure along their length.

Kellex believes that the difference in temperature between the phones and the stone countertop might have caused a thermic shock, which could explain the cracks. But I find this explanation a little hard to believe – to fail due to a difference of 20 oC (about 70 oF), the glass back would have to be extremely frail. Moreover, Gorilla Glass protects millions of devices, and if it were so sensitive to temperature variations, we would’ve known by now.
What can be the cause?
With so many reports, you can’t just dismiss them as freak accidents or negligence on behalf of the users. So, what could cause the Nexus 4 crack epidemic?
One explanation could be a faulty design. The sides of the Nexus 4 are protected by a sturdy piece of plastic, that offers a bit of protection to the glass back. Assuming that the phone is laid down on a smooth surface, the raised sides should ensure that the glass doesn’t come in contact with the surface.
I am no engineer, but I assume that the side band could create some tension in the sheet of glass. This existing tension could cause the sheet to fail under the right conditions. The outer glass panel is glued to the inner plastic layer with the holographic design – that can be another issue.
Another explanation could be a batch of faulty sheets or perhaps the glass sheet itself is too thin. If that’s the case, we should see fewer complaints once LG hits its stride with manufacturing the Nexus 4. In case you were wondering, Gorilla Glass is pretty darn strong:
Not a deal breaker
Should the wave of reports about broken glass backs on the Nexus 4 deter you from buying one? I don’t think so. As I said, it’s possible that the problem is specific to the first units that came off the production line. Even if it’s a design flaw that LG can’t fix, keep in mind that there are plenty of early adopters that have abused their phones with impunity.
The Nexus 4 shapes out to be a very popular device, and I am sure that LG will offer replacement parts. But the back plate of the Nexus is more than a casing — it includes the Qi wireless charging coil, a NFC antenna and other miscellany. For this reason, it’s unlikely that the replacement back plate will be cheap.

You probably shouldn’t get the Nexus 4 if you are prone to accidents or you plan to use it in demanding conditions. Glass is glass, and it will fail if you stress it enough, regardless of how strong it is. An insurance plan might be in order.
To wrap up, I still think the Nexus 4 is an amazing device, offered at an amazing price. The glass back might be its Achilles’ heel, but the Nexus 4 is still worthy of your attention. Just don’t cheap out on the bumper.

Driving this electric Honda was more fun than the new NSX
You know something is up when a Honda engineer giggles while he’s talking to you about his car. Turns out, the Honda “4-Motor Electric SH-AWD with Precision All-Wheel Steer” prototype – a clunky name for a heavily modified CR-Z – is enough to cut through the usual restrained enthusiasm of Honda Japan’s handling experts, and turn them into squeaking fanboys. Then I drove it myself, and instantly understood why.
Step back to late 2012. A team of Honda engineers and students decided to explore the possibilities of next-generation torque vectoring, building on Honda and Acura’s existing expertise in all-wheel drive, and come up with an EV sports car.
Since it’s always more fun to make something with a practical application than just a concept, the team settled on the infamous Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Held every year in Colorado, USA, its 12.42 mile course isn’t especially long, but it climbs dramatically, rising 4,720 feet with grades that average 7.2-percent.
That takes a special kind of car to succeed in, but the Honda team thought they had the answer.
Out went the CR-Z’s usual 1.5L hybrid gas engine, and in came four electric motors, one for each wheel. Since each motor can be independently controlled, the torque going to each wheel – and in either direction – can be adjusted individually.
If one wheel is lacking in grip, the car can throw more power to the others. On tighter turns, meanwhile, the outside wheel can get maximum torque while its counterpart on the inside gets opposite torque, helping pivot the car around.
The skunkworks group didn’t stop there, however. The prototype also got all-wheel steering, with the rear wheels having two degrees of steering for tighter cornering.
Hopes were high for the Pikes Peak challenge in June earlier this year, but even the Honda engineers were surprised at the result. With Super GT driver Tetsuya Yamano at the wheel, the electric prototype CR-Z took top place in its Exhibition class, completing all 156 turns in 10:23.829.
In fact, it finished in eleventh place across all classes, despite having a fraction of the horsepower those in the top ten could boast.
While Honda had brought out the International Hill Climb car for me to gawp at, it would only trust me with a lap behind the wheel of the 2014 prototype – with only around half its power, too – when I caught up with the engineers responsible at the Honda R&D Center in Tochigi.
Inside, the CR-Z’s usual cabin has been heavily modified for the new electric powertrain, with closely-hugging bucket seats and an oddly nipple-like toggle switch to choose between Drive and Reverse.
“Floor it,” the engineer in the passenger’s seat told me, grinning broadly. Always the accommodating guest, I obeyed, and the little EV surged away as the four motors dug in.
Instant torque is a well-known trick electric cars use to wow you off the starting line. The real magic comes when you hit the first corner.
Honda’s course was hardly complicated, though the safety talk had been clear to label the first corner as suitable for “moderate” speed. “Go faster,” my co-pilot insisted, and I obliged, expecting understeer to appear.
As hoary old driving clichés go, I’ve always thought “it corners like it’s on rails” is one of the lamest. So, you’ll have to believe me when I say how astonished I was to find the Electric SH-AWD prototype does exactly that.
Turn the wheel and it goes in the direction you were aiming for. Turn the wheel and stomp on the accelerator some more and, rather than going whooshing off the edge of the track, the CR-Z just pivots. We’re talking prodigious, cackle-inducing levels of grip.
I’ve driven cars with incredible traction before, but even so the prototype can be a little disconcerting when the rear steering kicks in and the back end twists around. Not to the point where I lifted my right foot, mind – in fact I’m mentally kicking myself now for not pushing it even harder, but some mental preservation is ganglial and takes time to overcome – but enough to make it unlike just about anything else I’ve tried.
All too soon the course was over and, despite my promises of an exciting new life in America just as long as he didn’t kick up a fuss when I drove the prototype straight out of the R&D center and to the nearest cargo ship facing the right way across the Pacific, my new engineering friend refused to turn a blind eye to my sudden kleptomaniac inclinations.
When, I demanded of Honda as soon as I was dragged from the cosy grip of the Alcantara, can I buy one myself? The answer is no less disappointing for how predictable it is: right now the company is still studying it, and there are no plans for production.
And yet, there’s a faint glimmer of hope. Every engineer who has tried the prototype, one Honda employee confided in me, has walked away loudly praising its mechanical marvelousness.
That’s critical, since Honda puts a whole lot of importance on what its engineers think. “I am an engineer,” Takahiro Hachigo, President, CEO, and Representative Director of Honda, told us later as he opened a rare Q&A session at the facility. “I myself love to drive cars.”
“That was a demonstration of what we believe when we say “bringing fun to our cars”,” Hachigo explained when asked about potential production for the prototype. “In that case, it’s not that we have plans to commercialize what you saw today … it’s not in a stage whatsoever for us to develop and produce a car like that.”

I hear that, and then I look at the 2023 Acura NSX I also drove this week – the three-motor system with front wheel torque-vectoring of which is a clear early version of the four motors in the CR-Z prototype – and think about how it took Honda just two years to change its supercar plans and cook up the hybrid drivetrain.
Even more intriguing, while the new NSX is set to cost more than $150k when it goes on sale next year, a four-motor system might be a lot more affordable. Four moderately powered motors could be much cheaper than one large one, not to mention simplify the parts bin because all would be identical, and have applications not only in sporting models but off-roaders and sure-footed luxury sedans.
If that’s not something which you can imagine easily appealing to common-sense Honda as it mulls production, I’m not sure what is.
Some of us may encounter this message when resetting Windows, “A configuration change was requested to clear this computer’s TPM.”
If you’re on a laptop, your keypad and trackpad might even freeze, stopping you from moving ahead with the reset process. And, if your using a device that supports touchscreen, the touchscreen feature stop working.
Majorly, this is caused when your PC cannot load the necessary drivers for controlling your input devices. This restricts all the input signals. So, you can’t use your hardware to choose either Yes or No.
Well, you do not need to scratch your head anymore. In this article, we have brought simple fixes you can carry to solve the problem.
Trusted Platform Module
A Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is a chip embedded into a motherboard for securing computer hardware components. Basically, it uses cryptographic keys to protect your PC from malware and firmware.
Well, the earlier versions of TPM didn’t support all the algorithms, providing weaker crypto agility. However, with the introduction of TPM 2.0, an additional security layer has been added to protect your system using a specialized digital signature feature.
Interestingly, you require TPM 2.0 when updating to Windows 11 so that you can run Windows Hello and BitLocker. Basically, these are the features necessary for identity and data protection in your system.
However, the TPM device may not be detected due to an outdated BIOS or damaged TPM chip. In such a case, you can try these fixes.
When you choose to reset your Windows, you get an option to either keep your files or remove everything. If you decide to remove all your files, you need to choose the second option.
Once you follow the on-screen process, you’ll likely get the message after waiting a couple of hours. Basically, this pop-up is asking you whether to clear TPM or not.
If your keyboard and touchpad work fine, you can directly choose Yes or No, using either of the hardware. Selecting Yes will delete all the keys you had created earlier. So, we recommend backing up your encrypted data before proceeding ahead.
However, choosing No means, you’re not giving access to clear TPM. When doing so, you might get this same message repeatedly, and the infinite loop continues.
So, it’s better to backup your encrypted keys or files before choosing Yes. But, if you’re not worried about these data, you can directly select Yes as the OS will re-initialize the TPM once the Windows reset is completed.
However, if you try clearing TPM, you might lose some important data. Thus, we suggest doing this at your own risk.
Indeed, selecting Yes or No is possible when your arrow keys are working fine. However, most users experience their input devices not working when this message pops up. So, if you’re one of them, here are seven different fixes you can try to resolve the problem.
Well, the Escape or the Esc key is generally used for canceling any running process. So, the first method is to try hitting this key to see if the message disappears.
Apart from that, the Esc key also acts as pressing No, meaning you can skip the request to clear TPM. This should solve your problem and continue the Windows reset.
However, many users have reported that the Esc key doesn’t function when the message pops up. Moreover, some have also faced an issue where pressing the Esc key brings back the same error message. So, it’s better to refer to other methods if this one doesn’t work for you.
If you want to clear TPM and solve this issue, we suggest pressing the F12 key. This simply acts as selecting Yes to clear TPM.
Moreover, most laptop manufacturers recommend pressing the F12 key if you see this error while resetting Windows. This is because it brings your frozen system back to life and continues the Windows reset.
Generally, using Esc and F12 keys should solve your TPM problem. However, in some laptop models, you should use Volume Up and Down keys to decide to clear TPM.
Also, if you have Windows running on touch-screen devices, like a tablet, you will need the volume buttons to fix the problem. You can press the volume up button to choose Yes and the volume down button to choose No.
Mostly, in touch-screen devices, plugging in an external keyboard or mouse can solve your issue.
Once you connect the input device, try to see if you can move your mouse cursor or use the keyboard arrow keys. Then, use either of them to choose Yes or No. Or, you can also press the F12 key from your keyboard.
Well, you can even try connecting an external input device to your laptop to check if this works for you. However, the possible chances are your keyboard or mouse won’t be supported while performing Windows reset. So, follow these general steps to fix the configuration error:
If you cannot resolve the configuration problem while performing the Windows reset, you must cancel it now. To do so, you need to long press the power button to shut it down and wait an hour to turn it back on.
Then, follow the simple guideline below to clear TPM from the TPM Management:
If your TPM driver is outdated, there’s a high probability you won’t be able to clear it. So, here’s how you can update the driver:
