Reach and impressions both reveal how much your social media content is being seen. The difference between them is subtle, but important — and not every platform defines them in exactly the same way.
Reach measures how many users saw your content
Impressions measure how many times your content was viewed

On social media, reach refers to the number of users that saw your content, i.e. how many different people it reached.
Many platforms allow you to track both the overall reach of all your content, and how many people saw your individual posts, like a Reel or Story.
For example, maybe 3,250 different accounts saw your last Instagram Story, or 12,861 total users saw your TikToks this month.What is an impression?
On social media, impressions are the number of times your content was seen, including multiple views from individual users.
Impressions are calculated by tracking the total number of times your content was displayed across a platform, like in the user’s feed or search results. Just like reach, you can calculate overall impressions for all your content, or see how many you got on a single post.

On Facebook, Reach defines how many people saw content from your Facebook Page, or about your Facebook Page (for example, a post you were tagged in).
Impressions refer to the number of times content from or about your Page entered someone’s screen. That could be in their news feed, through search, or because they intentionally navigated to your Page.Instagram

Instagram impressions are pretty standard — it’s the number of times your content was seen, including multiple views from the same user.
Within the Instagram app, you can view reach and impressions over the last 7 days, the last 30 days, the previous month, or the last 90 days. You can also break it down by audience demographics like gender, location, and age.TikTok
On TikTok, Reached audience tells you the number of unique users who watched your videos.
TikTok’s term for Impressions is “Total video views.” This tells you how many times each of your TikToks was seen.Twitter

If you turn on Twitter’s native analytics, you can see your total impressions over the last 7 days, 28 days, or in a specific month.

If your goal is to build strong customer relationships, you might want to emphasize impressions over reach. When users are viewing your content multiple times, it shows that you made a lasting impression (pun intended).

P40 series of smartphones, but with three different models to choose from at different prices, specs and features it’s probably hard to know which is the best one for you.
Well don’t worry because here we’re going to compare the three P40 phones across key areas highlighting the differences so you can buy the right one. We won’t be going into every tiny bit of detail to avoid this turning into a lengthy essay, but rather looking at what will be most important when deciding on a P40.
We’ve been briefed ahead of the launch but Huawei likes to keep things like the prices until the presentation so we’ll add this when we can. For now let’s look at how the P40, P40 Pro and P40+ compare when it comes to things like cameras, screens and more.

Let’s kick off with the most important comparison, since the camera tech you get is different across all three phones.
There’s one camera that all three P40 phones get which is 50Mp ‘Ultra Vision Wide Lens’. The P40 then comes with a 16Mp ultra wide angle camera and an 8Mp telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
The Pro Pro swaps those two additional cameras for a 40Mp ultra wide angle ‘cine lens’ and a 12Mp 5x Optical Periscope Telephoto lens. Then there’s a time of flight (ToF) sensor, too.

Finally, the P40 Pro+ has the same 50- and 40Mp cameras, joined by an 8Mp 3x Optical Telephoto, 8Mp 10x Optical Super Periscope Telephoto and the ToF sensor.

When it comes to the front facing camera, all the P40 models have a 32Mp sensor but the Pro models have autofocus and Depth IR, in part for improved facial recognition.

As is typical, the regular P40 has a smaller screen at 6.1in. It also has a slightly shorter aspect ratio and resolution at 19.5:9 2340×1080.
Getting a Pro or Pro+ gets you a larger 6.58in display and a taller 19.8:9 aspect ratio. The resolution is then higher at 2640×1200.

All three phones have OLED technology with a punch-hole camera arrangement at the top-left but the ‘overflow display’ – where it curves over the edges – is limited to the Pro models.
Then there’s also the fact that Pro/+ gets you a 90Hz refresh rate where the regular P40 is lower at 60Hz. The Pros certainly have the better display then if you are ok with the larger size.

This is another area where the regular P40 lags behind the Pro models as it has a smaller 3800mAh battery and both wired charging is limited to 22.5W. The phone doesn’t have wireless charging.
Meanwhile, getting either the Pro or the Pro+ bumps you to 4200mAh and both wired and wireless charging is able to supply up to 40W and the adapter is supplied in the box. Note that the Pro is limited to 27W on wireless.

This might not be as important as the things above but will still be critical to some people’s buying decision.
The P40 comes in a range of colours, depending on where you live, including Ice White, Black, DeepSea Blue, Silver Frost and Blush Gold.
Although most flagship phones come with top waterproofing, the P40 is a little lower at IP53 (dust protected but not tight, and able to cope with spraying water). Meanwhile the Pro models are fully dust and waterproof at IP68.P40 Common Specs

Taking an objective look at the phones, the regular P40 isn’t overly attractive due to all the specs and features that it doesn’t get.
Namely a fancier screen, additional photography skills, wireless charging and faster wired charging. However, those wanting a smaller size and wanting to spend less will need to opt for it.
Chossing between the Pro models is harder since they are pretty similar across the board. We’d say the P40 Pro is the sweet spot unless you really want the ceramic finish of the Pro+, extra storage and will make use of its superior cameras.Related stories for further reading

Before I start to write why SEO is more important and more needed than ever before – Let me assertively affirm that SEO is very much alive and in fact gained more life energies and SEO will remain alive as long as people use search engines to search for quality information for the quest of knowledge.
Google lately has been penalizing sites which have low-quality content, spammy and bought links or have used other methods which go against their norms and hamper the display of quality search results. This has affected the rankings of many sites and the blogosphere is full of posts on how they have been affected especially by the Google Panda Update.
This has been taken negatively by some and people have come to the conclusion that SEO is no longer going to work. But I am of the opinion that if the shift in the rankings is causing such a stir in everyone’s mind, then it only proves that organic search has got a very important place in the whole online marketing scenario. In order to rank in the organic search your site needs to be optimized. Hence SEO is very much needed.

The search is getting supplemented by social and not getting replaced by search. As social media and all the user generated content is adding the opinions and voice to the topics which are being searched.
Hence it can be said that your optimized site says what you want to say about yourself and company but social media is what the people say about you. When both the versions are in sync, the credibility is established.
The search engines continuously work on the quality of search results – hence the weight given to ranking factors keeps changing.
SEO means adapting your site to the norms and ranking factors of the search engines in order to be found in the search engines. Hence SEO is all the more in demand.
SEO is not dead but yes, it is getting more challenging and has started to gain its true place on the online marketing scenario. SEO is not dead but it has matured, evolved and now demands a quality web presence along with a quality content-rich website.
The original plan, if I recall correctly, was to have the entire Halo: The Master Chief Collection on PC by the end of 2023. Alas, that’s not going to happen. But 343 Industries did manage to get Halo: Reach out before the end of the year, the first Halo game to hit PC since Microsoft’s ill-fated attempt to use Halo 2 to sell copies of Windows Vista back in 2007.

First, let me say: I understand Halo: Reach is a remaster of a decade-old game. It’s been given a new coat of paint, but not a very extensive one, and thus is bound to run on basically any machine at maximum settings.
That said, when I got some hands-on time with Reach at E3 I wrote that “I didn’t see anything in the way of graphics settings, but I assume those will be in there at release.” Come release day…nope. Still no graphics settings—or at least, not to the extent you’d expect. You have your choice of three locked-down presets: “Performance,” “Original,” and “Enhanced.” I imagine these are the same options as the Xbox One X, though I haven’t checked.

…And on Enhanced settings, well-defined foliage. Less of a difference between Enhanced and Original.
I did toggle between the three in numerous environments, and mostly noticed differences in draw distance—and even then, mostly between the “Performance” and “Original” modes. With “Performance” enabled, objects in the middle-distance (particularly trees) devolve into abstract polygonal blobs. Moving to “Original” greatly increases the distance at which this happens, enough so that I really had to hunt for examples to show a difference between it and the “Enhanced” mode.

As I said, most modern PCs will run Halo: Reach maxed-out, even at higher resolutions. It’s aged well, but it’s definitely aged, and some slight improvements to textures and terrain aren’t enough to mask that fact. Logically there’s no real reason to include graphics options when most people will just set everything as high as it will go. And yet I find it somehow strange Reach doesn’t even pretend—especially since I’d read that the Reach beta tests did have more granular settings earlier this year. Where’d they disappear?
“[Field of view] is one of the more complicated hurdles 343i’s been struggling with for Halo’s PC version. The console versions of Halo were all designed to run at a specific FOV, and animations were rendered with that in mind. Changes can theoretically lead to some bizarre behavior, like Master Chief’s arm detaching from his shoulder as he throws a grenade.”
The E3 demo was capped at an FOV of 90. The release version goes up to 120 degrees (I’ve been sticking to 105) which is a relief because Halo: Reach’s guns take up an absurd amount of screen real estate.

Reach on PC defaults to a centered crosshair, which causes the guns (and your arms) to take up a ton of space at the standard 70-degree FOV. Ramp it up to 90 or more though and it starts to feel more normal.Keyboard kludge
If you’re buying Halo: Reach on PC, I assume it’s because you want to play Halo with a mouse and keyboard. Good news is, you can. The bad news is it’s going to take some adjustment.
I’m surprised at some of the choices here, some of which I mentioned at E3. Case in point: You switch weapons by tapping the “1” key. Just the “1” key. Tap it once, you switch to your secondary weapon. Tap it again, you switch back to your main. Scrolling the mouse wheel back and forth does nothing at all, and tapping “2” to access your secondary weapon like you would in any other PC shooter ever instead changes your grenade type.

You can try and remap it, and you should. I’ve settled on “Mouse Wheel Up” to cycle weapons. Scrolling down still does nothing, but at least it’s almost normal.
That’s a generous read, but it’s the one I’m operating under until I hear otherwise.

Feedback is an issue in general, actually. Like Gears of War 4, Reach’s weapons lose a bit of their oomph in the transition to PC. I never really knew how much controller rumble contributed to the feel of Halo until I lost it. And that goes for hit indicators as well. I’ve died more than a few times because I didn’t even realize I was being shot until it was too late.
It really makes you appreciate how much work Bungie must’ve put into bringing Destiny 2 to PC, given it was built with the same console-first mindset but plays as good or better on a mouse and keyboard.Xbox Live
Should it bother me that I need to sign in to my Microsoft account to play Reach on PC? Maybe…but it doesn’t. Microsoft’s come a long way since Games for Windows Live, and quite frankly Halo: Reach is one of the least offensive by modern standards. If you buy the game through Steam, it doesn’t first pop the Windows 10 Store open before you can play. There’s an in-game login screen, and that’s it.
Given how deeply Microsoft accounts are tied into Windows 10, chances are you already have one. If not, it’s easy to get one. Hell, I’m pretty sure mine’s tied to a Gmail account, not even a Microsoft service.Against all odds
Concerns aside, I’m excited to have an excuse to dip into The Master Chief Collection again. Halo: Reach isn’t the game I’d choose to start with, as by the time it released I’d almost completely transitioned to first Call of Duty and then Battlefield. I have way more nostalgia for Halo and Halo 2, and a fondness for ODST’s genre-bending weirdness.
But Reach has its charms. The war movie cinematography, the doomed-from-the-start setup, the colorful comrades-in-arms, it’s all very different at least.

Ambitious too, and it’s easy to draw a line between the more sprawling environments of Reach and what Bungie did next with Destiny. Reach is more primitive of course, and suffers from some strange pacing and repetitive objectives as a result, but it’s still a pretty neat capstone to the Halo-that-Bungie-built.Get me Thomas the Tank Engine
I’m also excited to see what happens with the mod community. Aside from mouse-and-keyboard controls, that’s the best reason to play on PC.
343’s facilitated mod support by providing two different launch options for The Master Chief Collection. The default includes anti-cheat measures to try and ensure the integrity of the multiplayer experience. You can also launch the game with anti-cheat disabled though, which disables achievements but allows you to do pretty much whatever you’d like outside of matchmaking.
It’s not quite seamless, as you’ll need to restore the unmodded file directory to access matchmaking again if you changed anything. 343’s said it’s working on a more elegant solution for the future, and official mod tools as well. Still, this is a good start.Bottom line
Just keep it in mind, that’s all. There are a lot of caveats at the moment. But hey, it’s Halo on PC right? The original Halo is reputedly due in early 2023, with the rest of The Master Chief Collection to follow throughout the year. See you in Zanzibar.
You’ve probably seen the setting that lets you choose whether to run the device as a bridge or a router while navigating through the network configurations. The purpose for both of these modes is the same, i.e, to offer network connectivity over a larger coverage area.
However, some minor technical intricacies make these two modes totally different in how they operate. In this context, we’ll compare these two networking modes today and recommend the best option to get the most out of your internet experience.
In router mode, IPs of devices connected are stored in tables and most viable route is selected to transfer data. The IPs can be given dynamically by the device or defined by user.
A router is involved in receiving the packets with the destination address attached to them and, forwards the packets to the receiver in the most convenient route. This process of forwarding the data is called dynamic routing.
It connects the LAN with the WAN. The router Converts an IP from one class to another using a process called Network Address Translation (NAT).
Router Mode is just to make the networking device function as a Router. Generally, the Modem/Router combo offered by the ISPs is, by default, set to the Router mode. However, if you use multiple routers for Wi-Fi range expansion, a private set of IPs created by the router generates conflict and can cause issues on the network. This is what is known as the Double NAT.
The router mode also supports multiple authentication methods, making it a more flexible option while setting up a connection.

Bridges use source and destination MAC before forwarding packets, contributing to less network congestion. Bridging essentially is the process of connecting two networks and making them function as one.
Now, getting into Bridge mode, is a setting that can be configured to make networking devices work simultaneously and extend the port access to a wider area. This configuration will disable the Network Access Translation (NAT) on one of the routers and turn it into a layer 2 device (On OSI) and extends the LAN.
With the IP assigning or NAT turned off, the router will not work as a DHCP server, which reduces the IP address conversion time. This can also be said as the latency of transferring the data between two points is relatively faster because of reduced data hops.
Enabling the bridge mode on a primary networking device will take away the routing capability from the device, if present. Configuring a device to work on the bridge mode renders the WAN port useless since the device is typically non-existent apart from extending the primary connection.

From an OSI model perspective, the router is a Level three device that performs the routing of traffic in an extended network. Routers are referred to as the network’s gateway as they forward the packets from one network to another. This is the normal modus operandi when a networking device is set to run on a Router mode.

A bridge is a network framework segregating the LAN into segments and dividing the traffic into those segments. On an OSI Model, it works on the Data Link layer. Bridges are used to overcome the limitations of the bus topology by reducing network traffic and limiting bandwidth usage. Thus, enabling the Bridge mode does this function by converting the networking device into a bridge.

Getting into other differences between these two modes, we can find some major divergences in their performance, security, usage, and specialization.
When it comes to the packet transfer process, a router mode works efficiently by directing them to just the necessary destination. This helps in reducing traffic and boosts the overall performance of the network. However, Bridge mode provides flexibility to connect many devices, extend the range of the Network and improve the network speed.
When two routers are connected to each other, there is the possibility of Double NAT in the routing mode. The issue can become prominent while using VoIP service or port forwarding rules.
The main purpose of the bridge mode is not to function as a security layer but to reduce traffic using segmentation. To make things simple, if you are planning to use bridge mode for a home network, it provides equal amount of security as a router.
On the other hand, since routers are primarily used to connect two remote devices or networks, routers can help to create a secure network. Under router mode, different security protocols are adopted, including encryption, to secure the data. This makes the router safer than using it as a bridge.
If a networking device is operating on a bridge mode, it will not have the routing capabilities and can be used to extend the range of LANs. And hence, the bridge mode is seen as easier to operate for LANs.
Router mode is required when you need to move back and forth between multiple networks. For instance, between your ISP and your home network. Also, a router mode enabled in a networking device can distribute a single wired Internet connection to multiple clients.
