Suggested December 2023 Jailbreak Tweaks Of The Week: Flashalert, Musicalkeyboard, & More…
This week has been busy for those of us at iDB since iOS 10 was released to the public for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Of course, the jailbreak community doesn’t sleep just because Apple releases a new firmware update.
In this roundup, we’ll talk about all the jailbreak tweaks that were released in Cydia this week, starting with our favorites.
Our favorite releases this week AppRestrict – $0.99AppRestrict is a useful new jailbreak tweak that lets you impose time limits on specific apps to keep yourself more productive throughout the day.
It’s perfect for locking yourself out of those distracting social media apps that always end up sucking down all your time when you have more important things to do.
With configurable time limits that you can impose on a per-app basis, there is a lot of flexibility to play with.
You can read our full review to get a better understanding of how this tweak works and whether or not it should be installed on your device.
FlashAlert – $1.99FlashAlert is a cool new tweak that lets you assign fully-customized LED flash alerts to any apps you want to on your iPhone.
With all of the options you have, you can easily set a different kind of LED flash alert for each app you use regularly and tell which app is notifying you with just the LED flash alone. It isn’t mandatory to assign every app an LED flash alert, so you can simply set one up for your favorite apps.
Complete with options for flash intensity, different kinds of patterns, and also repeating settings, this tweak has a lot of options you can tinker with to get the LED flash notification experience you want, something Apple’s stock LED flash alerts fail to do.
To learn more about how this tweak works, head over to our full review.
MusicalKeyboard – $0.99MusicalKeyboard is a fun new tweak designed for music-lovers who also enjoy texting.
Although some people make their jailbroken devices stand out with themes and visual effects, this is a great way to show off the audible benefits of having a device you can do anything with.
To learn more about how the tweak works, check our our full review.

Jailbreak Tweaks Of The Week: Hazmat, Indy, Selenium, And More…
These past few weeks have been particularly interesting for the jailbreak community. Whether you’re waiting for a new jailbreak tool to officially drop or you’re following the intense security research aspect of things, it seems like there’s never a dull moment anymore.
In this roundup, we will discuss the latest jailbreak tweaks released from Monday, August 10th to Sunday, August 16th. As usual, we’ll kick things off by talking about our favorite releases first and then wrap things up with an outline of the rest afterward.
Our favorite releases this week Hazmat – FREEHazmat is a new and free jailbreak tweak that lets iPhone and iPad users apply custom masks to the album artwork for the Apple Music and Spotify Music apps. The tweak can also apply these masks to Now Playing widget artwork.
You can learn more about Hazmat in our full review, and don’t forget to check out our review of Hazmat’s recently-released paid competitor, N95.
Indy – $1.49Indy is a rather unique new jailbreak tweak that lets users tap on individual elements of the Status Bar for more detailed information.
With it, you can see detailed networking information with the cellular and Wi-Fi indicators, view the complete date with the time indicator, and see more detailed battery usage information with the battery indicator, among other things.
You can learn more about Indy and what it can do for you in our full review.
Selenium – FREESelenium is a new must-have tweak that lets users ‘snooze’ individual notifications for as long as they’d like.
After snoozing a notification, it’ll reappear in the same place after the designated time period is over. It’s a great way to get non-important notifications out of the way temporarily without clearing them entirely so that you can get back to them when you’re ready.
You can learn more about Selenium and how it works in our full review.
Sonic – $1.99If you like custom ringtones and wish it was a lot easier to create and import them directly on your device, then you’ll love a new app called Sonic.
This app comes with tools for clipping sound bites out of audio tracks and importing them to your ringtone library to be used as ring or text tones. The same can be achieved with computer software, but this is a good on-the-go option with an intuitive user interface.
You can learn more about Sonic and how it works in our full review.
StorageByName – FREEStorageByName is a new must-have jailbreak tweak that provides users with various ways to sort the app storage usage pane on their handset in any order they’d like.
If you’d rather sort by name or install date rather than by storage impact, then this tweak is for you. It can also sort using ascending or descending order.
You can learn more about StorageByName and why this is something Apple should have included out of the box in our full review.

Jailbreak Tweaks Of The Week: Ccvertically, Musicmorecolumns, Wastatusvolume, & More…
Just when we thought we were going through a small lull in the jailbreak community, Cydia is sparking up again with some jailbreak tweak releases that you can use to make your device do awesome new things it normally can’t do out of the box.
Int his roundup, we’ll discuss all the jailbreak tweaks that were released throughout the week, starting with our favorites and then outlining the rest of them afterwards.
Our favorite releases this weekCCVertically – FREE
CCVertically is an interesting new jailbreak tweak that puts a vertical spin on Control Center.
You’re probably used to seeing everything horizontally, so the vertical view might take some getting used to, but it really doesn’t look that bad overall.
It comes with a few options to configure so you can choose what pages the effects work on and whether or not text appears, but the default settings are pretty good just how they come.
You can read our full review of CCVertically to learn more about how it works.
MusicMoreColumns – FREE
Admittedly, I’m not a fan of the most recent changes to the Music app, and the UI feels way too under-detailed to me.
A new free jailbreak tweak called MusicMoreColumns helps with the issue a little bit by adding a third column of music to the Music app. This means you can see more at a glance without having to do as much scrolling.
While it’s a minor adjustment, it really has a positive influence on the usage of the app, so I would recommend this to all jailbreakers who use the Music app to listen to songs.
You can read our full review of MusicMoreColumns to find out why the tweak is a beneficial addition to any device.
WAStatusVolume – $0.99
WAStatusVolume is a new jailbreak tweak that brings a WhatsApp-styled volume HUD to iOS.
This replaces the system-wide volume HUD that everyone loathes and it’s a better solution because it gets the point across and doesn’t take up much of the display.
You can customize where on the screen it appears and you can even tinker with the colors and such.
You can learn more about how WAStatusVolume works in our full review.
Other releases this weekBatteryBanners: Use Activator to see a battery percentage indicator via a banner notification (free – review)
Bouncy10: A customizable bounce effect that impacts all of iOS (free – review)
CCStatus: Adjust the status text from your Control Center toggle buttons (free – review)

Jailbreak Tweaks Of The Week: Gesto, Homelist, Scribble, Ytstatus, And More
With the Electra Team’s Chimera jailbreak now available for all iOS 12.0-12.1.2 devices and Pwn20wnd working on Substitute support for jailbroken A12(X) devices using unc0ver, it’s an exciting time to be a jailbreaker. With that in mind, do you know what you should install on your jailbroken iPhone or iPad?
In this roundup, we’ll summarize each of this week’s new jailbreak tweak releases from Monday, April 29th to Sunday, May 5th. As usual, we’ll kick things off by discussing our favorites and then outline the rest afterward.
Our favorite releases this week Gesto – $3.99Gesto is a revolutionary upgrade from the traditional App Switcher that integrates the Control Center interface for improved utility and usefulness.
The tweak comes with several interface options and can also be used to quickly access system shortcuts or prevent certain apps from being killed via App Switcher swipes.
You can learn more about why you need Gesto in your life by reading our full review.
HomeList – $2.99The Apple Watch is capable of two different Home screen styles: grid view and list view. If you’re a fan of the latter and wish that you could also have a similar Home screen style on your iPhone, then you might enjoy a new jailbreak tweak called HomeList.
With HomeList, you can enjoy an alphabetically-sorted application list as your primary Home screen app launcher. What’s more is you can customize the interface with different blur styles, colors, and even hide or show the standard Dock.
You can learn more about HomeList and where you can get it in our full review.
Remaining Charge Time – FREERemaining Charge Time is a captivating new jailbreak tweak that aims to let you know how much longer you have before your handset finishes charging.
The tweak displays the remaining time in place of the standard unlock text at the bottom of the Lock screen while your handset is connected to a power source, and it gradually updates as your handset begins to accumulate a charge.
You can learn more about Remaining Charge Time and how it works in our full review.
Scribble – $1.49Scribble is a fun and quirky new jailbreak tweak that replaces the Lock screen’s standard numeric passcode interface with a drawing pad, enabling you to doodle your way into your device rather than tapping on numbers.
You’ll be able to configure your doodle preference in the tweak’s settings, after which you’ll be able to unlock your device by drawing your doodle. Much like your passcode, you are the only one that will know your specific doodle.
You can learn more about Scribble and how it works in our full review.
YTStatus – FREEYTStatus is a jailbreak tweak that I’ve wanted for a long time, namely because it resolves one of my biggest gripes with the YouTube app. Once installed, it displays your Status Bar in the video controls interface that appears when you tap on the screen while a video plays in landscape orientation.
Before YTStatus, the only ways to view the Status Bar would be to open Control Center, rotate back to portrait orientation, or close the YouTube app, all of which are particularly intrusive when you simply want to check the time, your battery level, or your signal strength.
If you’re interested in learning more about how YTStatus works, then please let me direct you to our full review.
