Suggested January 2024 Huawei Honor 7X: Price, Availability, Specs, Issues And More!
Being a successor to the Honor 6X, expectations have been huge with the Honor 7X even before the first rumors began flying. That the year 2023 saw bezel-less displays become common to flagships, we always wondered whether Huawei would be able to give us the new tech in the display in the budget segment, too, in a way that made the dual camera tech available in the year 2023 with the 6X.
Thankfully, Huawei obliged — the Honor 7X features a FullView display from the company while keeping up with the game in the rest of the spec sheet too, which is pretty incredible in itself, too. Here’s everything you need to know about the Honor 7X, including, how much the handset will set you back, in which countries it is available, and more, so read on.
Bezel-less display for budget phones
The Honor 4X, 5X, and 6X have been pretty much one of the best devices under their range. Because they packed in specs that the other companies weren’t able to offer.
With the Honor 7X too, Huawei is giving you a 6-inch bezel-less display, which should make many people buy the 7X than anything else — not that the rest of the spec sheet is any slouch, the Honor 7X is one of the best-equipped phones for the budget phone buyers.
Value for money: Honor 7X Specs
The Honor 7X hosts of decent specs, including a 5.93-inch display with a 1080×2160-pixel resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio, as well as an octa-core Kirin 659 SoC, clocked at 1.7GHz, all for a budget-friendly price tag. While the phone is certainly not meant to take on the elite Galaxy S8 series or the iPhone X, the device still caters well to the budget-conscious users looking for a premium mobile experience with a handset that doesn’t break the bank.
In addition to the specs mentioned above, the Huawei Honor 7X includes 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. The phone runs Android 7.0 and takes its juice from a 3340mAh non-removable battery, which is notably similar to that of its predecessor Honor 6X. The Honor 7X also boasts a dual camera setup at the back (16-megapixel+2-megapixel) and an 8-megapixel front snapper.
The Honor 7X’s classic metal design provides a convenient grip of the phone, aided by perfect round edge. It also includes the 2.5D glass protection that sits nicely with the aluminum chassis. The Honor 7X also comes in Blue, Gold and Black color options.
The dual-SIM smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. It also supports connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, USB OTG, as well as 3G and 4G with support for Band 40 that’s being adopted by a number of LTE network provider in India. The handset also packs sensors like the compass magnetometer, accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and gyroscope. Finally, it has a dimension of 156.50 x 75.30 x 7.60 mm and weight of 165.00 grams.
Its dual rear camera features phase detection autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama.
The phone is also capable of recording video with a 1080-pixel resolution at 30 frames per second. In the sound department, the Honor 7X flaunts some typical specs such as vibration, MP3, and WAV ringtones. It also comes with an active noise cancellation to eliminate unnecessary buzz in the background when making a video call, for example. Its battery is capable of lasting up to 647 hours on 3G standby mode while you can use the phone for up to 21 hours of 3G talk time as well.
Quality of Honor 7X FullView display is pretty good
We have spent some good time with the Honor 7X’s bezel-less display, and we’re impressed with it. The bugger 6-inch screen in a body that last year typified 5.5-inch phone, is something cool to have, and even show off: When asked, several friends did estimate that this device must be costing $400 or something, but were left pretty impressed when told it costs just 200 bucks (USD).
The display on the Honor 7X isn’t inferior, but it’s not very cool either. Though, given the price tag, it feels pretty good all in all. It lacks the accurate touch of the, let’s say, Huawei’s own Honor 8, even the colors, but it does the job all fine. Reading in the sunlight is pretty good, while at its most dim, it makes it easy to read text on display without the need for a screen dimmer app, which is a great achievement.
Honor 7X camera is pretty good, too!
The rear 16-megapixel shooter is an able one, we can tell you that. The blur effect is there, and while it’s there, does the job, it certainly is not a great one. The dual camera setup’s second lens — a 2MP one — helps the device produce bokeh effect, by identifying the background which is then blurred by the device.
The phone’s camera also features a ‘Portrait Mode’ that you can find in the top-of-the-line contenders like the Galaxy S8 series or the iPhone X. This feature is what’s responsible for the nice background blur in your photo, and it does a decent job at that, except for the not so seamless cut of your subject. But for its price, it’s still an acceptable compromise that you can make.
Honor 7X does slow-motion recording, too
Other than the bokeh effect, the Honor 7X also includes the ability to record slow motion as well. The resolution isn’t great at just 480p, but having this feature is definitely better than not having it, right?
Honor 7X software tricks are awesome!
Once you’ve got your hands on the Honor 7X, the first thing that you may want to accomplish is to familiarize its home screen. Well, the phone lets you personalize the home screen in many ways. First off, you can choose to enable the app drawer by heading over to the Settings page and then go to the Home screen style section.
And there’s a lot morel EMUI is known for the heavy list of features it comes with, and as this powered the Honor 7X, you have a truckload of options everywhere.
The features easily eliminate the need to install maybe 5-6 apps from the Play Store, like the App Lock, download speed meter, screen dimmer, color correction, launcher apps as far as themes are concerned, etc.
Honor 7X tips
Honor 7X Oreo and EMUI 8.0 to arrive soon
With regards to the release date for the Android Oreo to the Honor 7X, it’s safe to assume that the update will arrive on the handset in the second quarter of 2023, though there’s no official announcement from Huawei just yet. We’re sure to update this post soon once details about the Oreo rollout for the Honor 7X become available.
Huawei has once again revealed their plans to bring the Oreo to the Honor 7X soon.
A Red Honor 7X is in the works!
Huawei has revealed that they plan to bring an Honor 7X painted in red color, too, which would be another great choice besides the blue color the company is offering already. Though, the red color could be US specific, where it would be available for purchase on January 14, Valentine Day.
Where to buy Honor 7X
Many Huawei fans have been asking where they can purchase the Honor 7X. Well, we’ve provided a detailed table below where you can check out the handset’s availability, including its version name in certain countries as well as the price.
Keep in mind, though, that prices for certain countries are not available at the moment, so you may have to wait a bit longer until Huawei’s related announcement.

You may get better options than this in the present and coming time, but still its the price that makes the difference.

Discovery+ content remains available as a standalone streaming service. Existing Discovery+ subscribers can sign up as new Max customers.
The human race in its very essence is an impatient species, and we’ve always been striving to get from A to B faster. It may have started with the invention of the wheel, but over the years, we’ve been driven to create modern technology that once seemed impossible. Mobile devices are one such creation, which is apparent from our ability to carry a communicator, a camera, a GPS device, a music player and so much more in a single device.
The Honor 10 from Huawei is among the best examples of everything that a modern smartphone can do. Packed with the state of the art Kirin 970 processor, you’ll hardly ever feel the Honor 10 fall short of the tasks you throw at it.
However, being a piece of technology at the end of the day, it wouldn’t be surprising to see your phone slow down after a few months of vigorous usage. Either way, there are ways to make Honor 10 faster, even more than it already is, and here’s how you can do it.
1. Free up storage
The base model of the Huawei Honor 10 comes with 64GB of internal storage, which should last most of you a lifetime even with photos and videos. But even if you don’t fill up the storage capacity to the absolute maximum, it can still affect the performance of the device, since the processor has to work harder to read and process the stored data.
While you can personally take care of this by limiting storage of larger files on your phone, the Honor 10 comes with the Phone Manager app to help you with this. Simply open the Phone Manager app and tap on Cleanup, to clear the memory and cache, which will automatically boost the performance of your device. Additionally, you can use the app’s Clean feature to get rid of general files to free up memory, or the Deep clean feature to dig deeper and root out unnecessary files that may not be entirely apparent.
2. Regular reboots are essential
No matter how many guides you go through, you’ll always find that the easiest way to get around a technical issue on any electronic device is a simple restart. Since you almost continuously use your mobile phone without rebooting it often, it can affect the performance sometimes and might not even notice it right away.
By simply performing a soft reset on your Honor 10, you can not only resolve the performance speed issues but also force stop apps that may be consuming battery and processor power in the background. All you need to do is press and hold down the Power button of the Honor 10 for 10 – 15 seconds until the screen turns off and then press it again to boot up the device.
3. Third-party launcher
While Google has a specific mindset when it comes to designing the Android OS version updates every year, the same isn’t shared by the Android OEMs. For instance, brands like Nokia and OnePlus keep the pure Android UI alive, while others like Xiaomi and Huawei heavily customize it. The Honor 10 comes with EMUI 8.0, which also has its very own user interface and design with different skins included.
If you want to make the user interface more barebone (which does speed up the loading time of the screen), you can always choose to install a third-party launcher on your device. If you are looking for a stock Android experience on the Honor 10, you can go ahead and install the Google Now Launcher, but we also recommend the Nova Launcher if you’d rather create a unique layout and interface while still keeping the phone quick and zippy.
4. Remove the bloatware
Even if you tend to keep your smartphone storage relatively light, there’s always the case of the installed apps taking up essentially processing power and slowing you down. While they have learned from their mistakes when it comes to packing devices up with bloatware, the Honor 10 might still have a few unwanted apps and services pre-installed on the device that could be taking up space and resources.
Head over to the Settings app on your Honor 10.
Scroll down to find the Apps section and view the entire list of apps installed on your device.
Start off by removing the unwanted third-party apps by pressing their icon as selecting Uninstall.
Additionally, tap on the three-dot menu button to select Show system apps.
Now you’ll be able to see the system apps, which can’t be uninstalled, but you can use the Force Stop button and then Disable these apps.
5. Downscale the Animations
Apart from the way EMUI 8.0 is designed itself, the transition effects when scrolling, open and closing apps also add up to the reasons why your phone can feel slow sometimes. By default, Google allows you to upscale or downscale these transition animations, change the duration of the animations, and change the window animation scale. You can do this on your Honor 10 as well, as the ability comes as a preset in the Developer options.
Enable the Developer options on your Honor 10.
Head over to the Settings app and scroll down to find the unlocked Developer options
Scroll down to find the Drawing section with the following tabs – Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale.
Select each of the tabs and change the mode for all of them to Animation scale .5x and reboot the device.
6. Factory reset works
If all fails and the world seems gloomy, the one definite way to fix any and all software issues are to factory reset your smartphone.
However, this task is efficient even when you simply want to speed up the Honor 10 and brings out more performance. Since the device has just been released, you might not experience it yet, but as you install more apps, store data on the device and just put it to regular usage, the device is bound to slow down a little.
Make sure you create a backup of your important data before proceeding.
Head over to the Settings app on your Honor 10 and scroll down to find System.
Open it to access Reset and then press Reset all settings to perform a factory reset on your smartphone.
So, which one of the methods above helped you the best? Probably dialing down the animations, right?

In this article, we’ll dive into the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D specs, price, release date, and everything you need to know about this game-changing processor. We’ll provide an insightful guide on AMD’s newest addition to its range of innovative CPUs, specifically designed to elevate your PC gaming experience.
The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D brings together the formidable power of the AMD AM4 generation CPUs with the exciting capabilities of 3D V-cache technology.
Gear up gaming enthusiasts, as AMD is set to launch the limited edition model of the Ryzen 5 5600X3D processor on July 7th, 2023. But there’s a twist! This revolutionary gaming processor will be available exclusively at MicroCenter.
It’s worth noting that while Micro Center anticipates several months of available supply for the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D, this will largely depend on how quickly the processors, bundles, and prebuilt systems are sold. Given the enticing offerings and the popularity of the Ryzen series, we predict a high demand, meaning these products could move quite quickly.
The sales officially kick off on July 7th, and if we follow previous trends, we can also expect reviews to start surfacing around the same time. This gives potential buyers a chance to gauge the performance and value of this new processor based on early feedback before making a purchase decision.AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D: Price
In an unprecedented partnership between AMD and Micro Center, the retailer has announced that the new, limited edition processor will be available solely at its stores. And the price? A very competitive $229, available while supplies last.
Alongside the standalone processor, Micro Center will also offer a value-packed bundle for only $329. This exclusive package combines the 6-core, 12-thread Ryzen 5 56003XD, an ASUS B550-Plus TUF motherboard, and a whopping 16GB of G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 memory.AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D: specs and performance
The Ryzen 5 5600X3D is an interesting six-core CPU that presents itself as a more budget-friendly option compared to its eight-core sibling, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. The latter has certainly carved its name among computer hardware as one of the best gaming CPUs, thanks mainly to the innovative 3D V-Cache technology.
This tech works by leveraging a 3D-stacked chiplet to increase the L3 cache to 96MB, and the Ryzen 5 5600X3D incorporates it too. Running on the previous Zen 3 architecture, this CPU is built to play well with AMD’s last-gen AM4 motherboard socket platforms.
Don’t let the age of the AM4 platform fool you, though. Despite being six years old, it continues to offer exceptional value at an affordable price, making it a strong choice for budget-conscious setups. A lot of this comes down to its compatibility with reasonably priced DDR4 memory. AMD has pledged to continue supporting this platform for budget-tailored systems, which is reassuring.
As for competition, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D seems set to take on Intel’s price point for DDR4-equipped Core i5-13400 systems. The Micro Center’s bundle deal looks pretty tempting and appears to offer better value than a similar Core i5-13400 configuration.
That being said, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D is expected to provide significantly better overall performance and data transfer speeds than the Intel setup, which could mean a better bang for your buck in terms of frames-per-dollar.
Still, potential users should be aware that, like its sibling, the 5600X3D has some limitations with the 3D V-Cache technology. This technology may not boost all games and could affect performance in some productivity apps. So, make sure it aligns with your specific needs before diving in.
The ongoing popularity of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D has led to a significant trend among AMD users, who are opting to upgrade their existing systems with this processor rather than transitioning to the more expensive Zen 4 and the new AM5/DDR5 platform. At first glance, one might assume that AMD is undermining its own flagship product line by introducing a superior, lower-cost chip.
However, a closer look reveals a more strategic move. This affordable and high-performing option has effectively maintained the loyalty of early Ryzen adopters, preventing them from switching to Intel’s newer Raptor Lake platforms. Therefore, this approach not only offers value to customers but also strengthens AMD’s market position.AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D: Final thoughts
The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D is poised to become a desirable choice for gaming enthusiasts. With its attractive pricing, robust specifications, and impressive performance, it holds great potential to breathe new life into the AM4 platform.
Its standout feature, the 3D V-Cache technology, brings a considerable performance boost that gamers are likely to appreciate. While not every game or application will benefit from this technology, the overall gains are substantial enough to make this CPU a game-changer in its price range.
In essence, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D represents a grand finale for AMD’s AM4 platform, extending its relevance and value even as we move towards newer technologies. This CPU embodies the spirit of the AM4 generation – offering high performance at a reasonable cost – and takes it a step further.
In the grand scheme of things, the Ryzen 5 5600X3D not only delivers exceptional power on its own merits but also acts as a fitting tribute to the long-lived and versatile AM4 platform. It’s a testament to AMD’s dedication to offering value to budget-conscious gamers and is certainly a worthy addition to any gaming rig.FAQs Is 3D V-cache worth it?
the 3D V-cache technology is definitely worth considering, especially for gaming enthusiasts. This technology significantly increases the L3 cache capacity, leading to improved performance in many games. While not every game will see a boost, the overall impact on gaming performance can be quite substantial.
