How To Disable Split Screen View On Ipad

Split View on iPad allows two apps to run side-by-side in a split screen on the iPad display when it’s placed into horizontal landscape orientation. Split View can be a great feature for multi-tasking and some iPad power users really enjoy it, but for some others it can be confusing, or perhaps they find themselves wandering into Split View accidentally, the latter scenario is somewhat common with iPad devices used by younger kids and in educational settings in particular.

For various reasons, some iPad users may therefore want to turn off split screen view on the iPad, which is what this article will show you how to do.

How to Disable Split View on iPad

Open the “Settings” app on the iPad

Go to “General” and then choose “Multitasking & Dock” or “HomeScreen & Dock”

Toggle the switch next to “Allow Multiple Apps” to the OFF position to disable Split View on iPad

Exit out of Settings as usual, the change takes effect immediately

Also, there are a number of reasons behind why we find stock Android attractive. Stock Android or pure Android, as some of us like to call it, has always been loved for its no-bloat, fluid experience. Plus, unlike Android’s older days, stock Android looks beautiful and unified, thanks to the Material Design UI language.

1. Install Google apps and disable similar apps

The first thing you need to do to get the stock Android experience on your Android device is install Google apps. While some Google apps like Maps, Google Photos, Play Music, Google keyboard etc. are available to download for everyone on the Play Store, some stock apps like Google Camera, Contacts, Clock, Phone etc. are only compatible with Nexus devices. In that case, you can easily go to APKMirror and download the APK files of the Google apps and sideload them to your Android device.

Note: Not all the Google apps will work on your device. For instance, we installed Google apps like Contacts through APKMirror and they work fine but apps like Google Camera and Google Phone don’t install on our HTC Desire 820.

2. Use a stock Android launcher

The next thing you need to do is install a launcher that brings the stock Android look. The Google Now launcher is your best bet, as it’s the official launcher from Google, which brings the Google Now service just a swipe away on the left of the homescreen. Once you have installed the Google Now launcher, make sure to set it as the default launcher in Settings.

If you want to have more customization options and control over your launcher while keeping the stock Android looks, you can try out other popular launchers like Nova, Apex etc.

3. Install Material Themes

Most of the Android skins from manufacturers come with their own Themes store, so you should easily find some good looking “Material” themes to install. These Material themes are aimed at people who love the looks of stock Android and they bring wallpapers, navigation bar icons, icons, ringtones and more.

4. Install Icon Packs

While Google Now launcher brings you the stock Android interface, it lacks the icons. Thankfully, there are various icon packs that bring Google-y icons but our favorite is the Moonshine icon pack. While Moonshine does bring icons that look very very similar to stock Android, it has made a few changes to refine Google’s design language even more. If you are to use the Moonshine icon pack, you will have to use a third party launcher like Nova, Apex or one of the many great launchers available on the Play Store. If you’d like icons identical to stock Android, the Nova launcher offers it natively, so you can use that as well instead of Moonshine.

5. Change font and DPI

The stock Android interface uses the Roboto font and to match the looks of stock Android, you will have to use the Roboto font on your skinned Android device. To do that, you can simply install a font changer app like HiFont or iFont and search for the Roboto font. Once downloaded, you will have to install the font and then apply the font in your device’s Settings page.

Note: While most devices let you install and apply the fonts with ease, some device will require root access. So, it all depends on the device you are using.

Unlike stock Android, skins like TouchWiz and Sense feature huge interface elements and it’s not just the fonts. However, you can change that by reducing the DPI of the interface. You can easily lower the DPI on Samsung devices by going to “Display Scaling” settings and selecting “Condensed”. However, devices from companies like HTC, LG don’t include this option in their ROMs. So, you’ll either have to rely on rooting your device or live with the same DPI.

6. Use a Stock Android lockscreen app

To complete the stock Android looks, you will have to get a lockscreen that looks and works similar to stock Android. You can install the L lockscreen app, which not only brings the looks of the stock Android lockscreen but also matches its functionality. It brings you lockscreen notifications along with the ability to open notifications in a way that’s identical to stock Android.

1] Connect the power supply to Surface Go

The first solution here which is known to work is all about using a USB drive to set things right again. Now, before you begin, please disconnect all USB drives, SD cards, USB accessories, external monitors, and Type Cover from your Surface Go.

Once that is done, you must connect the power supply to the wall outlet and connect it to the Surface Go for 15 minutes at least. We suggest always using the original power supply that came with the product.

2] Format the USB stick

OK, so to fix this problem with a USB stick, you must ensure the stick has at least 8GB of storage space.

Furthermore, it should be formatted in FAT32 over all other options.

Select the Format option from the context menu.

Before formatting, ensure FAT32 is selected, then move forward.

3] Download the USB solution file

Next, please go ahead and download the USB solution .zip file from the Microsoft website to your Surface Go computer.

You should not download the file directly to the USB, so keep that in mind.

4] Paste files to the USB stick

Go ahead and open the SurfaceGo_FixNoBootableDevice.zip folder from the file you just downloaded.

Select all files and folders from the inside, then copy and paste them to the USB stick you formatted previously.

If everything goes according to plan, you should now have 38 folders and 2 files located on the USB drive.

5] Insert USB into Surface Go

The next step to take here is to insert the USB drive into the Surface Go USB-C port.

Press and hold the volume-down button located on your device.

While you’re doing this, please press and release the power button promptly.

Right away the Microsoft Logo will appear on your screen.

Do not release the volume down button at no time.

The Surface Go screen will go blank for a brief period, then the following message will appear again: “Please wait while we install a system update”.

You will know the process is done when the Surface Go restarts.

Remove the USB drive from the computer, and that’s it.

The split function is basically a substring function that takes a string as an input and gives another string as an output. The only difference between the other substring function like left, right, and mid and split function is that the LEFT, RIGHT & MID function just take one string as an input or argument and returns one string as an output while the SPLIT function returns an array of strings as output.

VBA Split function has the following syntax:

Given below are the arguments for the VBA split function first:

Expression as String: This is a mandatory argument in VBA Split function. Expression as string refers to the string we want to break into parts.

Delimiter: This is an optional argument. It is the character that is used to break strings into parts. But if we do not provide any delimiter, VBA treats space “ “ as default delimiter.

Limit: This is also an optional argument. Limit means the maximum number of parts we want to do of a string. But again, if we do not provide a limit to the function, VBA treats it as default -1, which means the string will break apart each time there is a delimiter in the string.

Compare: This final argument is also an optional argument. Compare is a method that is described as one of the two below:

Either it is 0, which means Split will perform a binary comparison which means every character should match itself.

Or it can be 1, which means the Split function will do a textual comparison.

Everything will be clear in a few examples. But let me give a very basic example first of what this function does. Suppose we have an input string as ANAND IS A GOOD BOY. The split string will break it into parts, each word separately. We can also use the Split function to count a number of words in a string, or we can use it to output only a certain amount of words in a given string.
