You would think something as simple as printing text messages from your Android would be easy. Unfortunately, it’s not a simple matter.

There’s no print function built into the default Android messaging app or other standard messaging apps out there, but there are a few workarounds.

These include using a quick screenshot of the conversation you want to print, using an third-party app, or using a connection with your Windows computer and printing the messages from there.

Print Text Messages With a Screenshot

The screenshot approach is probably the easiest. It doesn’t require any other apps, or connections to other devices. And if you have Google Cloud Print set up, you can print straight from your phone.

Find the SMS conversation you want to print. Then capture a screenshot of the conversation on your Android. If the conversation goes beyond one screen, just scroll and continue taking screenshots to the end. You might also consider capturing a scrolling screenshot.

Find the screenshot you saved, and select the Share icon at the bottom. Find the cloud printer you’ve set up and tap the app. 

This will open the cloud printer where you can send the SMS conversation screenshots.

If you don’t have cloud print set up for your Android, you can select email on the share screen. Send the screenshot to your email address so you can open it and print it from your computer or wherever you have access to a printer. You could also transfer the screenshot to your computer using your cloud storage service like Google Drive or OneDrive.

Print Text Messages With Super Backup

One of the best apps for this is SuperBackup & Restore. 

Install the app on your phone and then launch it. Printing SMS messages from this app only requires a few simple steps.

1. On the main screen, tap SMS. This will open a variety of options available to manage SMS messages that are stored on your phone.

2. Select the Backup Conversations button on that screen.

3. Select the checkbox next to the SMS conversation you want to print.

If you want to print multiple conversations, you can select multiple checkboxes and back those up as well. 

Back on the SMS screen, you can now choose any of the backed up SMS conversations to print.

    Back on the SMS screen, select the View Backups button.

    Select the file that you backed up for the text messages you want to print.

    Tap the printer icon that appears at the top of the window.

    Step through the cloud print options to send the printout to your printer.

    If you don’t have Cloud Print set up, you can opt to print to PDF instead. Then either transfer the PDF file to your computer using Google Drive, or send it to your email account.

    Print Text Messages With Your Phone

    If you usually struggle to print anything from your phone, there’s another option that might work better for you. You can simply access your text messages from your computer, and then print them from there.

    One of the easiest ways to do this is if you have a Windows 10 PC. You can use the Your Phone Companion app. You can download and install Your Phone Companion for Android. You’ll also need to install the Your Phone Windows app on your PC.

    Note: While there’s no Your Phone app for iPhone, you can use the SMS Export app on iTunes to export your messages to your PC as a CSV or XML file and print them there.

    Once you have the apps installed on your Android and Windows PC, you’re ready to start printing text messages from your Android.

    1. Sync your phone with your Windows computer by having both apps running at the same time. Follow any instructions to sync the two devices.

    2. Select the Messages link on the main page.

    3. Browse to and select the text message conversation that you wanted to print.

    4. The text messages from your Android will show up in the right pane. Now you can take a screenshot of the messages to print them. 

    Just like the process of taking screenshots for printing text messages from your Android, you’ll need to scroll to the next section of the longer conversations and repeat taking screenshots until you have the entire conversation captured.

    Printing these screenshots is no different than printing any other images saved on your computer.

    How To Retrieve Deleted Text Messages On Iphone (6 Ways)

    How to recover deleted text messages on iPhone in iOS 16

    Show Recently Deleted feature is one of the simplest ways to recover text messages that you unintentionally deleted from your iPhone. This feature is made to keep deleted files on your iOS device for 30 days before completely wiping them out.

    Launch the Messages app on your iPhone.  

    Tap Edit on the top left corner of the screen. 

    Choose Show Recently Deleted. 

    Tap Recover/Recover All when prompted to complete the procedure. 

    Note: If you have turned on Filters for the Messages app, the method is slightly different. Go to Messages app → Tap Filters → Recently Deleted → select the messages you want to recover and tap Recover.

    How to retrieve deleted messages using iCloud backup

    Performing a backup restore from iCloud is another way to retrieve deleted messages on your iPhone. The probability of recovering them is even high if you frequently back up to iCloud.

    This trick will help recover all your files, and these may include text messages from a previous iCloud backup. Nonetheless, there’s no way to filter down to text messages only. But it might be worth it in the end. It requires resetting your iPhone, though.

    To see the last time your phone backed up to iCloud, open Settings → tap the Apple ID banner at the top. Next, select iCloud → iCloud Backup. Below the Back Up Now callout, you’ll see the time of the last successful backup.

    Next, perform a factory reset of your iPhone. After resetting your iPhone, follow the prompts until you see the Apps & Data screen.

    Next, use these instructions to restore your iPhone from an iCloud backup:

    From the Apps & Data section, select Restore from iCloud Backup.

    Sign in to iCloud using your Apple ID and password.

    This way, your messages might get restored together with the rest of the files.

    Restore deleted text messages on iPhone from iTunes

    This recovery method works best if you backed up your iPhone to iTunes or macOS Catalina or later at least before deleting your text messages. Otherwise, if you backed up after deleting the text messages, this overwrites the previous backup, and you might not be able to recover the messages.

    iTunes and macOS Catalina or later versions don’t usually require a factory reset. But if conventional restore without reset doesn’t recover your text messages, you might need a factory reset of your iPhone before restoring from iTunes or macOS anyways.

    Recover deleted messages from the iCloud website

    The iCloud website is another source to recover deleted text messages on your iPhone. Of course, this method requires you to visit the official iCloud website and log in using your Apple ID and password.

    Although there’s no specific space for messages on the iCloud website, restoring your files from here might also help recover your text messages. Here’s a guide on recovering deleted files from the iCloud website. However, while I added this as part of the recovery methods, it has a lower chance of success compared to the rest.

    While this is a last resort, network providers always have your data on their systems, even if you’ve deleted it. So you might want to contact them if all else fails.

    However, this method depends on your network carrier, as the case is always different across regions. Nonetheless, if your network carrier provides solid support, contacting them is one of the best ways to retrieve lost messages.

    Retrieve permanently deleted texts using third-party software

    Of course, you can use a third-party solution to recover deleted messages on your iPhone. For this purpose, I’ll recommend using the PhoneRescue recovery tool. It’s a paid app, though. And it comes in handy for selectively recovering messages directly from your iOS device without restoring its entire backup.

    To use PhoneRescue, launch your browser on your PC or macOS and go to PhoneRescue’s website to download and install the app’s compatible version on your computer. Launch the app and use the following instructions to recover deleted messages:

    Plug your iPhone into the computer using a USB cable.

    Select Recover from iOS Device.

    Documents Disappear From Print Queue Without Printing

    The process of printing seems easy, it seems like it is from the screen to the paper, however, this is far from the truth. When the document is sent to the printer it is translated to what the printer can understand, if documents are being printed, the other documents are Spooled as they await their turn. Spool is where the print job is held until it is ready to be printed. Printers do not have large memory like computers so spooling helps to hold the file in a line and keep track of which file is next. Because of the intermediaries between the screen and the paper problems can develop and you may notice that documents disappear from the print queue without printing.

    If you ever have to print, you know how frustrating it is when the documents do not print. The print queue shows the documents waiting to be printed. In some cases, the document will disappear from the queue when it is being printed. However, there are times when the document will disappear but is not printed. Let us look at reasons why the document will disappear from the queue but not come out on paper, we will also look at ways to fix this problem.

    Just like your computer, printers do have memory, but the memory in a printer does not have as large a capacity as the one in your computer.  If your printer runs out of memory it will have problems holding files that it needs to print. When you send documents to be printed and the printer is low on memory, some of the files may disappear from the queue. The queue will hold files that are being printed and files that are waiting to be printed. If the memory is low the printer will not be able to hold all the files, some may disappear from the queue without coming out on paper.

    If you suspect that the printer is low on memory, you can turn off the printer. Clear the print queue on the computer as well. Restart the printer then try to print again. Larger printers especially laser printers have the capacity for extra memory. You can upgrade the memory in the printer and this will help with printing.

    2] Update Driver

    Printer drivers need to be compatible with the computer and the printer. The printer driver is what goes between the computer and the printer so that documents can be sent and printed. If the driver is not compatible possibly due to it being the wrong driver or it is outdated, this may cause documents to disappear from the print queue without printing. Drivers may also become corrupt due to malware or if there is an improper shutdown of the computer possibly due to power failure.

    Ensure that the computer and printer drivers are compatible, and search the printer manufacturer’s website for the correct driver for the printer. Ensure that the printer driver and your computer are up to date. Check the manufacturer’s website for printer driver updates. Go to the computer system and check for updates to Windows. Windows accommodate updates for the computer’s hardware as well when you do an update. You may have to remove the printer driver and reinstall it and see if this helps.

    3] Check Document size and contents

    Documents may disappear from the printer queue without printing based on the document’s properties. One of the main document properties is size. Large files may cause problems when sent to print. The document can be large not just because of the number of pages but also due to the photos and other graphics present in the document. the document may also be largely due to other things linked to the document. Files may also have corrupt elements in them, for example, a PDF file may have fonts that are not properly embedded. A document may be a combination of premade elements that were used before, this may cause the documents to have problems when it is to be printed.

    If you have documents disappearing from the print queue and not coming out on paper, you can test other files and see if they print. If other files print then you know that something is wrong with the document. You can try to print the document page by page or section by section. You will then reach the part of the document that causes the problem and you may then figure out what is the cause of the problem. If the problem is based on the file being too large for the printer’s memory, the problem will not occur if the file is printed in small batches or page by page.

    If you reuse parts of documents, create a proper template as the foundation of the document. Depending on what the document is, you can use Illustrator or other software to create templates. The template can then be placed into Microsoft Word and saved to be used whenever you need to create a file. The great thing about the template is that the images and other contents are flat and compressed so that the file is not large. Since it will be used for small files it can be saved as JPEG or other small file types.

    Ensure that PDF files are created from sources that have properly embedded fonts and other elements.

    4] Run the Printer Troubleshooter

    The Printer Troubleshooter will check if:

    You have the latest Printer drivers, and fix and or update them

    If you have connectivity issues

    If the Print Spooler and required Services are running fine

    Any other Printer related issues.

    Why do documents stay in queue and not printing?

    There are a few reasons why your document stays in the queue and do not get printed to paper.

    One reason is that the document may be quite complex and the printer may need time to process the document before printing. You may need to wait a while for the printer to process the document.

    Another reason why the document may be stuck in the queue is that the printer may be low on memory so it may take a while to process or it may not process. You should turn off the printer and computer, wait for between 10 to 30 seconds then power them back on and try to print again.

    Another reason the document gets stuck in the queue is that the printer driver needs updating. Check the manufacturer’s website for driver updates. You can also set the driver to be updated automatically when there are new updates available.

    Another reason for the document to be stuck in the print queue is that there may be a tripped error code that causes the printer to stop. Check the printer for any error codes that are displayed if the printer has a display screen. If the printer has no screen, check the computer to see if there are any error messages. The printer may stop printing if there is an error so that it is not seriously damaged.

    How To Transfer Whatsapp Data From Android To Iphone

    In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to transfer WhatsApp data from Android to iPhone using AnyTrans and iCareFone. We should mention upfront that these tools aren’t free, but they both get the job done.

    To migrate your data, you’ll need either of these apps, a computer (PC or Mac), USB cables, and a Wi-Fi connection. Also, install WhatsApp on the new device (iPhone) and log in to your WhatsApp account before transferring your data.

    Why Third-Party Apps?

    Transferring WhatsApp messages and data between devices running similar operating systems is easy. Google Drive powers Android-to-Android migration while iOS-to-iOS transfers work with iCloud. However, inter-OS WhatsApp data migration is a little complicated. But it’s not impossible.

    Currently, there’s no official method for transferring WhatsApp chat history between devices running different operating systems. Inter-OS data transfer is only available for WhatsApp users moving from an iPhone to Samsung devices. To move from an old Android phone to a new iPhone, you’ll need to use third-party data transfer tools.

    Transfer WhatsApp Messages Using AnyTrans

    AnyTrans’ “Social Messages Manager” can help transfer your WhatsApp data from Android or iOS to a new phone. The software is available for Mac and Windows computers. Install AnyTrans on your computer and follow these steps to use the tool to transfer WhatsApp data from Android to iPhone.

    From our experience, AnyTrans doesn’t look optimized for a wide range of Android devices. The Windows and macOS versions of the app failed to detect our Android device via USB. We used an authentic USB cable, USB debugging was enabled, and MTP (or File Transfer) preferred USB mode. Nothing worked.

    We connected our Android device to the AnyTrans desktop client using the AnyTrans Android app. We’ll show you how to use the AnyTrans Android app (see step #3), just in case you encounter similar issues.

    How to Use AnyTrans Desktop Client to Transfer WhatsApp Data

    Launch AnyTrans and plug your iPhone and Android device into your Mac or PC.

    Select Social Messages Manager on the sidebar, head to the WhatsApp tab, and select Transfer Now in the “WhatsApp to Device” section.

    Select your Android phone or tablet as the source device in the left drop-down menu. In the other drop-down menu, select your iPhone as the target device.

    AnyTrans software failed to recognize our Android device via USB. We had to link the app to our phone to the desktop client using the AnyTrans Android app.

    If you’re experiencing a similar problem, install AnyTrans on your Android device and proceed to the next step. Otherwise, jump to step #7 to start the data transfer.

    Tap the Add a device drop-down menu for the source device and select Add Android Device.

    Open the AnyTrans Android app and connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi network as your PC or Mac. Head to the Radar Connection tab and select your Android device on the map.

    Check the AnyTrans app on your Android phone and tap Receive on the pop-up to authenticate the transfer request.

    After selecting the “Source” and “Target” devices, select Next to proceed with the data transfer process.

    Turn off Find My iPhone on your iPhone as instructed on the next page. Select OK, I Know to proceed.

    On your iPhone, go to Settings, tap your Apple ID name, select Find My, tap Find My iPhone, and toggle off Find My iPhone.

     Select Next on the next page to continue.

    To access your WhatsApp data, AnyTrans will download and install a modified/enhanced version of WhatsApp on your device.

    In the AnyTrans Android app, select Settings on the pop-up and toggle on Allow from this source to install the enhanced WhatsApp.

    Open WhatsApp enhanced version when AnyTrans installs the app on your device.

    You’ll get another pop-up to grant the app permission to your device’s storage.
