What does DNS flush & reset do to your PC?

Before we go ahead with the guide on how to flush the DNS cache in Windows 11, you should first understand what the DNS flushing or resetting would do to your PC.

DNS, or Domain Name System, is the index of all public websites and their IP addresses. Windows stores a local copy of these indexes to speed up the loading of these websites in the form of a DNS cache.

If the DNS cache gets corrupted, you will face a slow network connection and other network-related problems. In such a case, flushing or resetting the DNS cache would help fix the problem.

Well, if you happen to be facing slow internet connection in your Windows 11 PC, then you should check out our guide that will help you fix it in no time.

How can I completely flush the DNS cache in Windows 11? 1. Use CMD

Press the Win key to open the Start menu.

Open the command prompt as an admin.

Type the below command and press Enter. ipconfig /flushdns

You will get a confirmation message that the DNS cache has been flushed.

2. Use PowerShell

Press the Win key to open the Start menu.

Open PowerShell as an admin.

Type the below command and press Enter. Clear-DnsClientCache

Restart your PC.

We have a guide that will help you fix the problems related to Windows PowerShell not working or opening. Our guide lists 5 of the most effective ways to fix the issue.

3. Use Run dialogue

Press the Win + R keys to open the Run dialogue.

Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.

In a split second, the command will execute.

Restart your PC.

In the Run dialogue, you must use the same command as in the Command Prompt.

4. Create a Batch file

Expert tip:

5. Reset Winsock settings

Press the Win key to open the Start menu.

Open the command prompt as an admin.

Type the below command and press Enter. netsh winsock reset

You will get a message for its successful completion.

Restart your PC to complete the process.

If the DNS cache methods mentioned above do not work, you should not get frustrated. Because you can easily clear the Winsock settings. Winsock facilitates communication between Windows network software and network services.

When you clear Winsock, it clears or flushes the DNS cache, which is what we wanted.

6. Clear DNS cache automatically

When you create the registry as mentioned above, then you are making sure that the DNS cache will reset automatically after 86400 seconds or 24 hours. This way, you do not need to flush the DNS cache by running any command or anything.

That is it from us in this guide. We have a guide that will help you fix temporary files not deleting automatically problem.

You can also check out the method we have explained that will help you quickly clear the computer cache in Windows 11.

Frequently Asked Questions How can I make my transcriptions more accurate?

First, get rid of any background noise. Move to a quiet place before transcribing your files, or utilize a microphone with noise-canceling technology built into it. Background noises are the primary reason for inaccurate transcription results.

Secondly, opt for a transcription program (paid or free) with a real-time conversion option. The feature lets you edit the text as you go, making it easier to revise the final results rather than go through a lengthy text looking for tiny typos.

How can I transcribe audio files to text using Python?

While Python is not the most convenient way to convert audio files to text, a tech-savvy user can still use it. There are quite a few ways to create a transcription program in Python, but below is the most straightforward approach:

Copy the following program text to Python:

import speech_recognition as sr

from os import path

from pydub import AudioSegment

convert mp3 file to wav

sound = AudioSegment.from_mp3(“transcript.mp3”)

sound.export(“transcript.wav”, format=”wav”)

transcribe audio file

AUDIO_FILE = “transcript.wav”

use the audio file as the audio source

r = sr.Recognizer()

with sr.AudioFile(AUDIO_FILE) as source:

audio = r.record(source) # read the entire audio file

print(“Transcription: ” + r.recognize_google(audio)

Save the program as “”

Run the software you created, then “Upload” an audio file to convert it to text.

What’s the safest way to store audio Information?

The safest and often most convenient way to store audio information is to transcribe it into text. Accordingly, text files consume less storage and are less prone to corruption and software glitches, making them even more convenient to back up. This makes audio file transcription the safest method to save, edit and review your meetings, voice notes, interviews, audiobooks, and podcasts.

How To Transfer Android Files To Mac

For a hybrid user who loves macOS and opts for an Android for a mobile experience, there could be a hassle in transferring files cross-platform between these devices. In fact, in many cases, it feels better to stick to a single ecosystem. Interestingly, tech enthusiasts love what they love, so be it an Android device, a Mac or whatever, it should not matter.

Read this article to find options for dealing with file transfers from Android devices to Mac.

Method 1: Using Android File Transfer

This method requires an app download on the Internet. It is called Android File Transfer. This Google app performs the sole task of transferring files from Android to Mac. These easy-to-follow steps help you get this done.

3. Use the cable that came with your Android to connect to your PC. On your Mac, open the newly downloaded Android File Transfer app. The app will open, displaying your Android root directory.

4. Open a Finder window. Browse the files and folders on your Android device that you wish to transfer, and drag and drop them to the Finder window.

Method 2: Using Smart Switch

Using Smart Switch will only work with Samsung Smartphones. LG has something similar called LG Bridge.

Method 3: Using Google Services

There are other ways to transfer files from Android to Mac. The options listed here, however, are free. One could also look into using some premium software, but that just may be an overkill in performing a simple process.

How To Use Javascript To Create Client

In this tutorial, we will see how we can create a client-side image map using JavaScript.

Before going to discuss the process, let us learn what is image−map.

While creating the image map, we need to use the following HTML tags −

img tag − The image tag is used as usual to embed an image in the document. But this time, we will use image tag with a special attribute named usemap, which takes the value that is given to the name attribute of the map tag preceded by the pound or the hash symbol, as shown in below syntax −

map tag − The map tag is used to create an image map, it links the map with the image to which the value of name attribute is passed as the value of usemap attribute inside the img tag, the syntax is shown below −

area tag − The area tag is used to define the different area parts in the image. This tag takes the href attribute to specify the address of the file or the page it contains. We can give a particular shape out of the rectangle, circle, and polygon to the area tag using the shape attribute and also specify its position on the image using the coords attribute, as shown below −

Let us understand, how we can create a client side image map using JavaScript by practically implementing it with help of code example −

Step 1 − In the first step, we will define an image tag with the usemap attribute as shown in above syntax.

Step 2 − In the next step, we will define a map tag with the name attribute associated with it and give the same values to the name attribute of map tag and the usemap attribute of the img tag.

Step 3 − In the third step, we will create the different hotspots on the image using the area tag with the attributes specified in the above syntax and give them the relevant value.

Step 4 − In the last step, we will add the functionality to show the output on the user screen using JavaScript.

Example 1

In the below example, we create a client-side image map using JavaScript.

function showTutorial(name) { document.myform.stage.value = name }

alt=”HTML Map” border=”0″

<area shape=”poly” coords=”74,0,113,29,98,72,52,72,38,27″ alt=”Perl Tutorial” target=”_self” onMouseOver=”showTutorial(‘perl’)”

<area shape=”rect” coords=”22,83,126,125″ alt=”HTML Tutorial” target=”_self” onMouseOver=”showTutorial(‘html’)”

<area shape=”circle” coords=”73,168,32″ alt=”PHP Tutorial” target=”_self” onMouseOver=”showTutorial(‘php’)”

Let us see another code example to completely understand the implementation of the JavaScript to create client side image map −

Example 2

Below example will explain how to create image map using JavaScript −

<area shape=”poly” coords=”74,0,113,29,98,72,52,72,38,27″ alt=”Perl Tutorial” target=”_self” onMouseOver=”showTutorial(‘Perl Tutorials’)”

<area shape=”circle” coords=”22,83,126,125″ alt=”Java Tutorial” target=”_self” onMouseOver=”showTutorial(‘Java Tutorials’)”

<area shape=”rect” coords=”373,68,32, 456″ alt=”JavaScript Tutorial” target=”_self” onMouseOver=”showTutorial(‘JavaScript Tutorials’)” function showTutorial(name) { var result = document.getElementById(“result”); }

In this tutorial, we have seen how we can create a client side image map using JavaScript. We have seen the practical implementation of the method with two different code examples to create image map, so that we can understand it better and there will be no confusion remained in the minds. We can create as many as hotspots as we want to create on an image and give them links to the different pages.
