Here Are The Best Oneplus 5T Accessories

OnePlus Bullets earbuds

The OnePlus 5T does not ship with earbuds out of the box, but that doesn’t mean you should ignore the company’s own earbuds. The OnePlus Bullets are on their second version, and weigh just 2 grams. OnePlus claims the cool-looking shape and design of the earbuds was created in part by a diamond cutter. The company also sprays zircon sand on them to improve their touch and feel.

The OnePlus Bullets also include a three-button in-line remote control and a number of different sized anti-allergy silicone ear tips. You can get the earbuds in either black or white for $19.

Sfmn OnePlus 5T Charger Dock

The OnePlus 5T does not support wireless charging, but that doesn’t mean you can’t charge the phone up with just a Type-C cable and Dash adapter. The company Sfmn (yes, that is its name) sells a charger dock that works with the OnePlus 5T and other phones and devices with Type-C ports. The stand allows you to sit the OnePlus 5T vertically and charge up your phone, while using the handset. You can also place the OnePlus 5T in the dock in a horizontal position — but of course it won’t charge that way.

It’s too bad that OnePlus doesn’t offer a similar dock compatible with its Dash Charge technology, but this docking device can still be useful at home, or when you travel. You can get it from Amazon now for $9.88.

Duragadget Wireless Keyboard

Typing on a virtual keyboard on the OnePlus 5T’s touchcreen display can be a bit of a pain, even with its larger screen. For those folks who prefer to use a physical QUERTY keyboard, the folks at Duragadget offer a small Bluetooth wireless keyboard that you should check out. Its design is small enough that you can transport it with your OnePlus 5T anywhere, and it comes with a microUSB port for easy recharging. The range of the keyboard is up to 10 meters, which should be more than enough for any OnePlus 5T owner looking to type emails, Facebook posts, or passwords. You can get the keyboard from Amazon now for $17.99.

CB3 Armor XL wireless speaker

If you want to listen to music, podcasts and videos on your OnePlus 5T without earbuds, you can use its onboard speaker, or you can get your hands on a wireless speaker for the phone. CB3 has a great waterproof wireless speaker you can check out called the Amour XL. Not only does it offer excellent audio quality, but it has its own 5,200mAh battery that can last 10 hours or more on a single charge. It’s also IPX6-certified for water, dirt and more outdoor obstacles. You can snag this terrific wireless speaker now from Amazon for $49.99.

Eighty Plus portable battery charger

The OnePlus 5T can last up to a full day with a single charge, with normal use. However, if you want to extend that time, you might want to consider getting an external portable battery charger. The one from Eighty Plus has a large 10,000 mAh battery capacity that can charge up the OnePlus 5T multiple times on a single charge of its own. The charger also comes in a sleek package that somewhat resembles the design ascetics of the OnePlus phone team. You can grab it on Amazon for just $29.99 in black, silver, or rose gold. One quick note: it is not compatible with the phone’s Dash Charge technology.

Essential Phone

This phone has received a ton of media attention, thanks in large part to the fact that Andy Rubin, the co-creator of the Android OS, founded the company that created the Essential Phone.  It also helps that the phone itself has some solid hardware inside. The first thing people notice about it is the near bezel-free display, with a small amount on the bottom and nothing on top; the screen wraps around its front-facing camera. The screen itself is 5.7 inches and is a QHD display with a 19:10 aspect ratio.

Inside, the Essential Phone is one of the best phones with 4GB RAM, and it has the fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, and 128 GB of onboard storage. It also contains dual 13 MP rear cameras, an 8 MP front facing camera and a 3,040 mAh battery. The phone also has some magnetic connectors on the back that are designed to connect to extra accessories, such as an upcoming 360 degree camera and a charging station. Even the chassis of the phone is made of premium materials, with a titanium main body and a ceramic back.

While this phone launched just a few months ago for $699.99, you can get the unlocked version of the Essential phone from Amazon right now for just $449.99. It will work with all four major US wireless carriers.

The HTC 10 was one of our best unlocked Android phones of 2023, and for good reason. The Taiwanese company absolutely nailed the design of the 10, and it worked hard at scaling back the software to make it feel like the bare-bones Android experience we all know and love. And while it didn’t have a bunch of gimmicky extras, that was okay. The HTC10 was a solid Android phone that nailed the basics.

Now HTCis back with the 10’s successor, the HTCU11, and is one of the best phones with 4GB RAM. With an eye-catching, glossy design, all-day battery life, and a smooth and snappy software experience, the U11 competes toe-to-toe with the Galaxy S8 and LG G6 when it comes to performance. It also has one of the best smartphone cameras on the market, according to DxOMark.

The standout feature on the U11 is something HTCcalls Edge Sense. The sides of the phone are pressure sensitive, and this allows you to physically squeeze the phone to activate a specific function or open an app like the camera or web browser. Having to squeeze your phone to make it do something does sound a bit odd, but we’ve really found this feature to come in handy.

Before you go out and spend $650 on this baby, there are a few things you should know. For starters, this phone doesn’t have a 3.5 mm headphone jack, meaning you’ll either need to use Bluetooth headphones or carry around the included headphone adapter everywhere you go. Also, while HTC’s Sense is one of our favorite Android skins out there, it is feeling a bit dated at this point.

If you can get past those few caveats, though, the U11 will certainly not disappoint.

How To Save Mac Screenshot In Jpg, Tiff, Pdf Or Gif Format? – Webnots

Mac Screenshot App Default Behavior

Mac Screenshot in PNG Format

Though PNG or Portable Network Graphics format is good for online publishing or using in your documents, they are generally larger in size. As you can see in the above screenshot image, the simple desktop capture is 7.5 MB in size with PNG format. You may need to convert to JPG format and compress for reducing the size. Alternatively, you want to save the screenshot in PDF format and share with others to avoid editing. At any case, follow the below instructions to change PNG format to different format and revert back when you need.

Taking Screenshot in Mac with JPEG Format

Follow the below instructions to use JPEG format for screenshots in Mac.

defaults write type jpg;killall SystemUIServer

Convert Screenshot Image Format in Terminal Mac

You will not see any confirmation message but the format will be changed automatically.

Now, capture your desktop screen with “Command + Shift + 3” keys.

Check the screenshot image in “Desktop” folder in Finder app.

The screenshot will be saved in JPEG format instead of PNG.

Compressed JPEG Screenshot

defaults write type gif;killall SystemUIServer Convert Screenshot to PDF Format

Finally, use the following command for saving screen captures in PDF format.

defaults write type pdf;killall SystemUIServer

Remember, you can still open the PDF floating screenshot and insert annotations.

Reverting Back to PNG Format

If you want to use the default PNF format, then simply use the following Terminal command.

defaults write type png;killall SystemUIServer Using Convert Image with Quick Action in Finder

Select Format and Size for Image Conversion

Convert with Image Compression Using Preview App

As mentioned, PNG images are larger in size compared to JPEG files. This is due to the fact that PNG uses lossless compression while JPEG uses lossy compression. So, you can compress the JPEG image further to reduce the size by reducing the picture quality. Using Quick Action will not allow you to select the compression quality level for JPEG images. However, you can use Preview app to compress the JPEG image.

Select File Format in Preview Mac

Now, you will see an additional “Quality” slider. Move the slider to set the quality of compression level. You can see the file size will reduce/increase when you reduce/increase the quality.

Full Fledged Processing of Screen Captures

Though you can edit and annotate the screenshots in Mac, you need a third-party app for creating professional documentations from the captured images. The best option is to purchase Snagit app which is a must use app for content creators and bloggers. You can link Screenshot app and Snagit to automatically open the captured screens with Snagit Editor.

Open Screenshots with Snagit in Mac

After editing your screenshot, you can save it in JPEG format by adjusting the quality level of compression similar to Preview app.

Process and Convert Images with Snagit

PNG Vs JPG – Background Transparency

Remember, PNG format supports transparent background. This helps when you capture the selected window which always add some transparent background around the borders of the capture. If you use JPG format, the transparent portion will be converted to black background. This may not look good if you insert the images on Word or Pages documents with white background. In this case, you may need to process the image using third-party apps like Snagit to remove the white background.

PNG Transparent and JPEG Not Transparent
