Have you ever deleted an important file by accident or maybe before you should have (thinking you didn’t need it anymore)? More than likely, you have. Luckily, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard is one that can come to the rescue when you get carried away deleting files.
EaseUS Data Recovery is available for Windows and Mac. Here we’ll be looking at the Windows version (on a Windows 10 computer) to see just how quick and easy it is to recover lost files.Installing Data Recovery Wizard
The program is very easy to download (.exe file) and only takes a minute to install. I didn’t have any issues, and the few options that are available (e.g. create desktop icon) are self-explanatory.
After installation, the Data Recovery Software will open as long as you keep the “Launch EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard” option checked.Using Data Recovery Wizard
The program has a clean and minimal UI that is very easy to navigate. As a matter of fact, the first thing I noticed was the lack of a menu bar. Instead, there are just a few icons in the top-right corner (feedback, import scan status, menu, minimize, maximize, close).
From the menu icon you can access everything from language to online help to updates. There are no settings to bother with, which is really convenient. What and Where to Search
You’ll always start at “Home.” From the Home window you can choose the types of files to scan for: graphics, documents, email, audio, video, other.
On the next screen you can choose the location of your hard drive (or any attached drives) to search through. Keep in mind that you can only search through one location (folder or drive) at a time.Quick Scan vs. Deep Scan
If you find that the scan is going to take much longer than you’d like, you can pause or stop it. While paused, you can also preview recovered files. Don’t worry if you decide to stop it early; you can still recover any found files.
Even when stopping the Deep Scan after just 7% had been scanned, almost 1 million files had already been found, which says a lot about its thoroughness. When viewing your recoverable files, you can sort them by type: all, graphics, audio, document, video, email, other. You can also view them as a list or as icons. There’s even a preview option so that you can see exactly what the file is before restoring it.
This can later be imported via the “Import Scan Status” icon at the top of the window (between Feedback and Menu).Using Valuable CPU
I did notice that both the Quick Scan and Deep Scan are pretty CPU-intensive, especially the Deep Scan since it takes so much longer. Honestly, it’s to be expected with a hard-working program like this.
If you plan on doing a deep scan, it’s probably best to have it running while you’re asleep or away from your computer doing something else.Recovering What Was Lost
You’ll be asked to choose a location to save the files and will also be warned not to save the recovered files to the drive where you lost them. I feel that this is just a precaution in case the drive is damaged; in that case, it’s a good idea to save it somewhere else. However, if the drive it’s recovered from is fine, I personally see no harm in saving it there.
For me, recovering two files took around 10 seconds. Upon completion, you can even “share your happiness with friends” on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.No More Lost Data!
While there is a free trial of the Data Recovery Software, you can’t actually recover files with the trial; you can only do a scan and see what may be recoverable on your system. I do think it’s nice that you can see if the program will help before spending your money on it.
In a nutshell, EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard makes it alright to be careless – at least when deleting files from your computer! Plus, it provides peace of mind knowing that you can get back your coveted kitten videos collection that was mistakenly deleted by a friend just trying to help you with your addiction. Well, maybe that’s not your life, but it could be!

Line is a world-known communication app for anyone using a smartphone, tablet, or Windows 10. What makes Line amazing is that users can enjoy not only communicating via text messages but also free voice calls from wherever they are.
Reshaping communication nowadays is definitely a difficult task but Line did it gracefully, by allowing international calls with more than 100 users at the same time. All completely free.
Deleting a line account though makes some irreversible changes, and users are looking for ways to restore it or get back their data.
Losing all data, chat history, and earnings are some of the actions that you can’t revert once an account has been deleted.
If you are wondering what can be done in such cases, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
In this article, we will explore how you can have back a Line account if you deleted it previously. How can I recover my deleted Line account? 1. Check the account status
Before we go on to the next steps, it’s important to mention that, if you have uninstalled or deleted the app, that does not constitute as a deleted account.
An account can be deleted by going into Home, opening the account settings menu, and choosing the Delete option. Only if you have followed these precise steps, you can consider that you have deleted the account.
Keep in mind that once an account has been deleted all the stored data will be lost as well.
Here are the pieces of data that you won’t be able to recover once you delete your account as mentioned above:
Registered phone numbers
Registration with other authorized apps (LINE games, LINE apps).
The email address you used for registering for LINE will also no longer be available.
Note: If you deleted your account and you reinstall the LINE app, you will not be able to transfer the data from the old account to the new one.
Not all is lost though, as the name used for your ID will become available again. Follow the steps below to set it up again.2. How to re-use the same Line ID
Go to the Home or More tab and select Settings.
Select the Edit profile option and go to ID.
Enter your ID and select the Check option.
You should see the message This ID is available.
Since the ID will become available once again after the accounts they were registered have been deleted, you can follow the above steps to use the ID again.
If you want to start off fresh, the solution below will ensure that you do so successfully.3. Register a new Line account
Go to your smartphone, on the LINE app, and register your email address.
Download LINE for PC.
Log in using the email and password used for registering on your smartphone.
Note: If you are getting an error when entering your email address or password, make sure that your password does not include any unnecessary spaces or you didn’t enter only half-width characters.
If you checked all these but you still see an error message, then make sure to reset your password and then try the steps again.
As you can see, there are several ways to check the status of your account. Only by simply deleting or uninstalling your app it does not necessarily mean you have permanently deleted the Line account.
But if that is not the case, and you have deleted it from the settings menu, then it’s important to remember that all the data will be lost and that your account cannot be recovered.
You can either create a new account or simply wait for the ID you already have to become available and use it once again.
Of course, there is always the option to create a new Line account from scratch baring in mind that this will not automatically transfer any data from the past chat history or previous earnings to the new one.
We’d love to hear if the solutions and information mentioned in this guide have proven useful for you.

Some driver-related issues can be solved faster by using a tailored driver solution. If you’re still having problems with your drivers, simply install OutByte Driver Updater and get it up and running immediately. Thus, let it update all drivers and fix other PC issues in no time!

Have you seen my PDA?
I have a confession to make… I’m really hard on personal electronics.
In just over two years, I have eliminated two pagers, three cellphones
and two PDAs. I lost a pager to a toilet and another to a sewage
treatment plant (don’t even ask about that). I left a cellphone on a
train, and I sat on a PDA.
I have been fortunate, though. While the data was lost to me forever,
with the exception of the cell phone, information on these devices wasn’t
recoverable by anyone else, either. Plus, I subscribe to the
back-up-early-and-often theory, and so rebuilt my ”memory” without too
Of course, there was the small issue of explaining to my boss why I
needed another pager… especially that second time.
We rely ever more heavily on electronics to provide us records,
note-taking space, contact information and scheduling services on a
minute’s notice and in any location. We use them for impromptu pictures
of things to be dealt with later, and we download pages of data we’ll
need soon and quickly.
So we all cringe when someone in the office says, ”Have you seen my
PDA?” We know the poor guy already has scoured the house, the car (both
of them), the gym bag — maybe even the diaper bag — and the office,
before exposing himself to the inevitable derision about losing his
There’s an important consideration here. What really has been lost?
Yes, there’s the inconvenience that our victim will be late or miss every
appointment he’s scheduled over the next three months. Unless he’s backed
up his data to his computer or some other device or drive, all his
business contacts are gone. (Ask yourself how much overlap there is
between your personal cell phone and your business contacts listed on
your PDA if you don’t have a business phone.) He might be able to recover
personal numbers from his cell, but what about mailing addresses and
birthdates of the people (business or personal) important to him?
If your PDA is like mine, it has plenty of functions that allow for
sketches, notes, and other bits of trivia that go into daily business
activities. Are these drawings part of the prototype for your company’s
”next big thing”? Your cell phone allows you to take photos, download
Webpages of company documents, and list bullets for the big memo to your
boss’s boss about the status of the secret project. If this goes missing,
what happens then?
If you’ve destroyed it, as I am wont to do, it’s almost OK. That data is
marinating in its own juices, never to be seen again.
If you’ve left it behind on the train, the bus or the airplane, you can
hope that whoever finds it isn’t very savvy, and won’t be interested in
examining the contents too carefully. You could take the view that
people, as a whole, are primarily good guys and you’ll see it again
sooner or later. Or not.
There’s also the possibility that people are primarily self-motivated,
and whatever benefits them most is their likely course.
This means they may call you and ask for a reward. This is a good thing.
They may call your boss and offer to sell the contents back to the
company. (Here’s an interesting thought: would you want your boss to see
ALL the content on your PDA? That might include all those appointments
with the competition when you were thinking about changing jobs?) They
may call the competition, and offer to sell the data to them. Or, they
may choose any combination of choices.
Imagine thinking you’re safe because you paid a reward for you PDA, and
got it back safely. Then imagine being called into the boss’ office a few
weeks later to explain why the competition is going to press with the
project you were directly responsible for. And maybe in the course of
that conversation, your boss asks you why you met multiple times with
said competition several months ago.
Let’s make matters worse. Were all your usernames and passwords on the
missing PDA as well? What about your bank account numbers? (Ooooh, it
would be so handy for someone to have the name and phone number of your
broker, along with your personal/question answer, too.)
How hard would the theft of your identity be, at this point?
I know I’m asking tough questions here, and they are questions that don’t
have simple answers.
The manner in which we use our PDAs is due to the need they fill in our
lives. It isn’t just about convenience. This is a situation we ignore at
our own peril. But options are few. Recovering your own data is the
simple part. Back your stuff up… somewhere.
Protecting it from others is something else entirely.
There are packages available for encrypting all the data on your PDA.
They’re handy and fairly simple to use. The key here is that you have a
single point of failure. If you forget the password, you might as well
have dropped your PDA in the lake. The data is safe from everyone…
The important thing is to think about possible implications and
complications resulting in the loss of any small electronic device.
When I drowned my pager, and I couldn’t be ”found” for several days, it
wasn’t much of an inconvenience. When I sat on my PDA and made all my
information disappear, I was a little more annoyed.
Had I lost it, I would have had to change all my root passwords, my
credit card accounts, and dealt with a number of other major
aggravations. Now, I choose not to keep that information on my PDA. I
still have all my phone numbers and addresses, for both personal and
business contacts, meeting notes, appointments, schedules and deadlines
on it. I back it up religiously, and when synching, I review what’s
outdated, or what’s already been transferred or revised on my laptop or
desktop system. If that information is already somewhere else, I take it
off. If it’s not, and should be, I make the time to move it.
overachiever. I couldn’t just drop my pager in a toilet, I had to drop it
in everybody’s toilet.
In today’s workplace, stealing information doesn’t require a covert Special Forces team: It is often done by an employee armed with a 5 GB USB flash drive. And your unsecured, unencrypted network invites a hacker to compromise a server or workstation holding sensitive data.
But you don’t have to be vulnerable. There are plenty of options available today for securing/encrypting your data and many of these options are just overlooked.
Consider in recent news the security breach where hackers obtained access to more than 40 million credit card accounts. Could this have been avoided?
Yes! If the data had been encrypted, we wouldn’t have 40 million people losing sleep.
In other news, Citigroup announced that 4 million consumer records, stored on magnetic computer tapes, were mysteriously lost during a shipment by UPS to a credit reporting agency.
Guess what? Those tapes were not encrypted. And the list of examples goes on.
With this string of incidents, it is very clear what has to happen. We must start encrypting our data. It is essential.
Options From Enterprise to Workstation
Encrypting your data does not have to be an expensive rollout like moving from NT 4.0 to Active Directory. There are many types of encryption, from complete encryption at the enterprise level down to the often overlooked encryption of an individual’s workstation. With so many options, your perfect solution is surely available.
I believe encryption is as important as a firewall. You wouldn’t leave your network unprotected by a firewall — we all know that’s as foolish as just giving a hacker your enterprise or domain admin password. Nor should you leave your sensitive data unencrypted; encryption ensures that your data is secure.
But how, specifically, might encryption be useful to you?
When you send an email of sensitive information, encryption provides security that no unauthorized parties have access to your data. If your password is encrypted, it cannot be duplicated by anyone else so it ultimately proves your identity when you sign on to a computer or use a smart card or an RSA device.
When you sign an email with an encrypted signature, the email cannot be changed or modified without changing the digital signature. Using digital signatures provides you with proof that a document has not been compromised.
Create and Enforce An Encryption Policy
Encryption can be used for email exchange as well as to encrypt documents on your hard drive. Encryption is used when logging onto a system, SSL connections on the web, and on anything that is sensitive within your business model.
Just as you have a disaster recovery plan, you should also create an encryption plan for your organization. Make it corporate policy to digitally sign every email. Configure encryption over your remote connections. Use encryption technology to encrypt the entire contents of your hard drive.
With the amount of data being too frequently compromised, not having an encryption plan for your company is security suicide. September 11 was the disaster recovery wake-up call for many companies who lost everything because they didn’t have a plan in place; many companies quickly got their acts in gear after the fact to have disaster recovery sites configured.
Not having an encryption plan may not quite stop you dead in your tracks as failure to have disaster recovery did for some, but it could cause your stock to fall, profits to decline, and peace of mind to be shattered. Do yourself a favor and configure an encryption plan for your company today.
